II. ¡SOCORRO! If you need extra help to get you through the year, you have several
options:
A. See me before school (I’m here by 7:30)
B. Get a pass from me to come in and get help during advisory
C. If neither of these work, let me know and I’ll stay after school to help you
but I’ll need to make arrangements to have someone let Cooper out.
V. Expectations:
If this isn’t beating a dead horse I don’t know what is. You know how to act in my
class and I know you know how to act in my class. There will be no warnings…you’ll
just win yourself a trip down to the office…and they don’t really want to see you. So
just because I don’t want you to tell me I never told you here’s a refresher:
• Being on time to class means being in your seat when class begins, not
walking in the door as class begins.
• No beverages or food of any kind in class…this just gets us all in trouble.
• You can hardly speak Spanish clearly if you have gum/mints in your mouth
now can you?
• Come to class on time and be prepared:
I DO NOT WANT ANYONE GETTING UP TO GET PENS OR SHARPEN
PENCILS ONCE CLASS HAS STARTED. I hate that.
2
• Respect the property and space of your fellow classmates and teacher (I
don’t touch your stuff, don’t touch mine…)
• Participate! Speak Spanish as much as possible. It’s not as hard as it looks.
Trust me; if I can do it so can you! Besides if anyone makes fun of you for
trying… they’ll deal with me. May not sound too scary but trust me, it’s no
walk in the park.
