Based on your enterprise requirement, you can first receive goods in the inspection stock, and after quality inspection, you can transfer it for unrestricted use. In SAP, you can post the material receipts into three stock types: i.e., unrestricted-use stock, quality inspection stock, and blocked stock. The system allows you to issue only unrestricted-use stock. The material cannot be issued from the other two stock types. In this slide, you can see that the goods receipt is posted to three different stock types by the movement type 101. You can post the goods receipts to different stock types only if you select a correct stock type indicator against the item while doing goods receipt.

You can transfer quality inspection stock to unrestricted use stock by movement type 321 and transfer blocked stock by movement type 343. During transfer of stock from quality inspection and blocked stock to unrestricted use, the system generates a material document. No accounting document is generated.
