Definition of Conflict

Conflict is an expressed struggle between at least two interdependent parties who perceive incompatible goals, scare resources, and interference from others in achieving their goals. Interpersonal conflicts develop over innumerable issues, but many of these issues fall into predictable patterns. Interpersonal conflict can be further explained in terms of the contentrelationship distinction. Content conflict centres on objects, events, and people that are usually, though not always, external to the parties involved in the conflict. Content conflicts include the millions of issues that we argue and fight about every day. Relationships conflicts are equally numerous and arise not so much from an external object as from relationships between individuals. They tend to focus on issues such as who is in charge, how much equality exists in a primary relationship, and who has the right to establish rules of behaviour.

Summary
There are 4 levels of conflict found in this comic. Firstly, the interpersonal conflict. An interpersonal conflict, is the conflict between 2 people. This conflict is found between the conflict of the husband and wife. Next, is the intrapersonal conflict. An intrapersonal conflict is the conflict between oneself. For example, when the wife was thinking deeply to herself while she was cooking. The intragroup conflict is the conflict between 2 or more people in the same group. This situation occurred between the husband and his colleague. He was telling his wife about what happened at work how his colleagues are not cooperating. Finally, the intergroup conflict. An intergroup conflict is the conflict between groups or organizations. This situation occurred when the team leader of the company felt a competition between other companies. Therefore, he pushes his workers to be better, which actually made the workers (including husband) felt worst.

Despite all these conflicts, it finally came down to resolutions. Firstly, by avoiding. This happened when the wife didnt want to let the husband know she went for the interview, because if she did, it will lead to another argument. So she avoided it. Next, is by accommodate. This situation happened when the wife decided to stay at home and take care of the kids. Lastly, is by competing. The husband worked harder than before to compete with the other colleagues. He finally managed to increase the sales, and this impressed other workers. His hard work paid off after he received a title as the CEO of the company.
