About Us...
The South Denver Heart Center Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing cardiac care to the residents of the south Denver metro area. We do this by conducting programs of contemporary cardiac service through teaching, research, and other programs related to cardiac care to both the public and physician populations. The Foundation qualifies under the US Internal Revenue Code as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) scientific and educational public charity, and conducts its business according to the rules for such organizations. The Foundation promotes collaboration among the nonprofit,government and business sectors.

SPONSORED PROGRAMS Saline Coolers: Access to ice-cold saline gives Emergency Medical Service (EMS) providers the opportunity to start life-saving measures to patients suffering from cardiac arrest and other lifethreatening conditions by cooling down the patients body temperature inducing hypothermia treatment on the way to the emergency room. In 20092010 South Denver Heart Center Foundation made donations of these life-saving coolers to numerous EMS departments in our community.

Upon receipt , a card announcing the donation will be sent to both the donor and the honoree or family. Please remember the South Denver Heart Center Foundation when thinking of honorariums, gifts, or memorials for yourself or loved ones, and in lieu of gifts or flowers.
Donation Options
Annual Pledge of Support: Single annual pledges are important contributions to the Foundations working budget. Donations are tax deductible. Long-Term Giving Goal: Contributions may be scheduled over time to reach a long-term gift goal. Donations are tax deductible. Life Insurance: The Heart Center Foundation may be the designated owner or beneficiary of a life insurance policy. Charitable Lead Trusts: This permits the owner of a strong investment portfolio to reduce taxes,without reducing their portfolio. The Annual Earned Income is given to the Foundation for a specified number of years. At the end of the period, the earnings revert back to the owner for retirement, education or the estate. Wills: The Foundation will assist individuals and their legal advisors as they consider a bequest to the Foundation.

Wellness & Lifestyle Classes: Education plays an important role for patients in the cardiac rehabilitation program, as well as members of the community. We provide classes on lifestyle changes to benefit health and well being. The foundation provides the funding which allows us to provide these classes free of charge to members of our community so that we may teach skills necessary to promote a hearthealthy lifestyle. Continued Education for Healthcare Providers: Education is not only important or our patients but also our health care partners in the community. We offer continuing education seminars four times a year to provide information on new and existing treatments and techniques in cardiovascular care.
