Introduction

This user guide will tell you how to manually patch the O2Jam client without going
through auto-patching whenever there is a new update.

Objective
The objective for manual patching is to reduce the download bandwidth especially for
cyber cafés.

User Guide
First, you need to use one computer to run the auto-patching from our server. After
patching has finished, log in to the game and check everything to make sure the patch
has successfully been applied to the client.

首先，请开始在其中一部电脑直接到官方伺服器自动更新补丁。
更新完毕后，请登入游戏，检查及确认补丁更新是否成功。

The following is the guide on the preparation and how to manually patch the new updates
for the O2Jam client on the other computers.

First Preparation:

In the most updated client computer, please perform these steps:

STEP 1: Go to START, Click Run and type in “regedit” to load the Registry Editor.

Registry Editor 目录。
STEP 2: Please follow this path to find the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > e-Games > O2Jam
Right-Click to export the registry key
第 2 步： 依照 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > e-Games > O2Jam 路 径，
找出 Registry Key:。然後右点滑鼠”export” 提取 Registry Key。
STEP 3: Save the registry key with the filename “O2Jam” and click Save.
第 3 步：请將 registry key 以”O2Jam” 档案名字储存起来。

You are now able to see the new registry file exported and the file saved as below:

STEP 4: Check inside the O2Jam client folder to ensure that the latest client files exist.
These 2 folders do not include in-game updates:
 Music folder - to keep all music files (OJN and OJM extension)
 Save folder - to keep the screenshots taken from within the game

Preparation for the manual patching needs 2 things:

1. The registry key file you saved as “o2jam.reg”
2. Updated latest client files

1. 成功储存为“o2jam.reg” 的 Registry Key 档案。
2. 新版游戏主程式档案。

Perform these steps on the other computers.
请按照以下步骤到其余的电脑上。

STEP 1: Copy and paste the new registry key file into the computer and run the file. The
window confirmation message will ask whether or not you want to overwrite the current
registry to this new registry key value. Click YES.
第 1 步：复制 Registry Key 档到电脑硬碟内，然后执行档案。提示界面 ”是否覆盖原有
Registry 文件” 信息，请点击 YES。

Please double-check that the registry values have been already been updated
completely.
请重复检查 Registry 值，确定已更新完整。

STEP 2: Copy the latest client files into the O2Jam folder to overwrite the old client files.
The files will now be updated just like it would have through auto-patching.
第 2 步：复制最新版程式到 O2Jam 资料夹，覆概原有的旧夹。
现在，新档案将自动执行补丁更新。
STEP 3: Start up the O2Jam client and log in. Check everything to ensure the game
client is able to run correctly. Apply the same steps to the other computers in the
cyber café.
