Lightbox Technologies continues to grow in the public sector, tele-medicine, and medical imaging technology support sectors. As the economy looks towards future growth, technology will play a key role in that direction. Organizations look to improve the bottom line through process improvements and productivity gains. Our customers are looking to make smarter decisions and to use technology to provide support tools to enable their workforce to make those decisions. Business Intelligence (BI) solutions are growing at a rapid pace. Data Mining and Data Quality is a big part of those solutions. Microsoft will be delivering more tools to allow organizations to build their BI infrastructure. Lightbox Technologies, through its Microsoft Partnership, will be positioned to help organizations leverage these new tools. Another important aspect to customers growth strategy is customer service. Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is a growing software solution supporting that need. Lightbox Technologies works with the State of Wisconsin on implementing CRM solutions. The State has a strategy under the Walker Administration to improve the business climate in the state. The Office of Business Development (OBD) has been created to reach out to businesses throughout the state. Lightbox Technologies has enabled OBD to use Microsoft Dynamics CRM to reach out to over a million business owners, chamber representatives, economic development members, and private citizens. In addition to OBD, Lightbox works with the Government Accountability Board (GAB) using CRM to develop the next generation state election system. Finally, Cloud, Social Media, and Mobile technologies are changing how businesses work today. Much of the world is linked via their mobile phone or tablet device. Communication is becoming more instant and tools to assist individuals to manage all that instant communication is a growing market. Lightbox Technologies has leveraged these technologies to improve workflow processes within the tele-medicine space. Combining all these emergent technologies is what makes Lightbox Technologies a successful resource for businesses to invest in. The team at Lightbox is dedicated in providing innovative solutions that allow our customers to meet and exceed their goals. Every day the people at Lightbox deliver services that effect millions of peoples in the state of Wisconsin and patients throughout the country. I'm proud to be a part of this team and continue to be excited about what the future has for all of us at Lightbox.

ensure that the new website set up for backups and will require no need for external contracts. New technologies continue to help improve and shape the ways we use and view the internet. As we move forward with the MDI website redesign and begin examination of the current Milwaukee Laser Vein Clinic (MLVC) website, the following technologies will help us create a better user experience. Our goal is to create a site that is more user friendly and easier to navigate, while maintaining accessibility with both a desktop PC or mobile device, while still allowing each group to have their own interface and branding. We are now developing sites that utilize the new 2013 version of Microsoft SharePoint. This platform has been used by other health care providers to build their public websites. One of the features of this technology is that it allows for easy updates to a customizable interface. What that means for MDI is that rapid changes can be made to information visible to patients, without having to wait for a developer to change the underlying code. It will provide a better user experience, while maintaining a patient friendly front end. Another innovation were adopting is the Bootstrap framework. This is a collection of tools that creates consistency across internal tools and produces a website that functions across multiple platforms and devices. Its currently being used by numerous high profile companies, including NASA and MSNBC. A lack of consistency can create confusion among users, and makes it challenging to navigate through different pages. Through the use of Bootstrap technology, all sites will have a consistent look and feel throughout the organization, regardless of the programs used to build it. In addition, it will shorten development time, allowing for faster changes and updates. Our goals are to improve the overall website experience through faster production times and maintaining an intuitive and user friendly interface. By utilizing the latest technology and programs, we can provide a site that can be accessed by all major platforms which is easy to navigate. This will allow us to streamline the process, reduce costs, and be more responsive to the needs of both patients and hospital staff. Amy Meyer & Ryan Oberg
EYE ON IT Government Accountability Board The Government Accountability Board, (GAB.) continues to modernize the State Voter Registration System (SVRS). Jigar Patel and Mohideen Kader are working with the Elections Division team to release a new Felon Audit and ePayment system. The Felon Audit system interfaces with data from the Department of Corrections and the ePayment system allows individuals and businesses that request data from G.A.B. to pay for their request online. Lightbox works with the GAB. Ethics Division to support 3 technology systems: Lobbying, Campaign Finance (CFIS), and Statement of Economic Interests (SEI). Lightbox is developing a new reporting interface to these systems to allow GAB Ethics Division to data mine into each of these applications. This will allow the Ethics Division to audit the activities from Lobbyists, campaign committees, and state representatives filing through SEI. In addition to reporting, Lightbox will be developing a mobile application for the Lobbying system to allow Lobbyists and Principle Organizations to receive real-time alerts on new Bills, Topics, and Articles published to the state legislature site.
Our biggest undertaking so far has been the Agency Infrastructure Transition Project. The projects goal is to transition IT infrastructure people and assets from five large state agencies, to having their IT infrastructure supported by the private cloud infrastructure within DET. With this project we have formed a Program Management Office which includes the Program Director (Dave Meyer; Lightbox Technologies) and four project managers (one of which is Paul Lukas; Lightbox Technologies) to lead this initiative with each of the agencies. Estimates have us completing the first phase of the project in early 2014 with completion of the transition by mid2014. We have also recently completed the Information Security Roadmap for DOA as part of the Cyber Security Initiative. In addition, we are building a program management office for the implementation of the Security Roadmap projects. Along with this, we have developed a program management office formation methodology to assist other departments in setting up program management offices for their related project efforts. We are excited for the opportunities to continue to support the Department of Administration in their technology and project management initiatives moving forward. Dave Meyer
