CHAPTER 5 SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

This chapter presents the summary of findings, conclusion drawn and recommendations on the perception on the effectiveness of birth control pills. The study made use of the descriptive method of research where the questionnaire checklist with scale was main instrument in gathering the data. It involved a total of forty (40 respondents. !tatistical program for social sciences was used for the statistical treatment. "requency distribution, percentage, means and #nalysis of variance were used in computing, analy$ing and interpreting the data gathered.

Summary of the Fi !i "# %a&ority of the respondents are young with ages '( ) *0. %ost of them already graduated in college or is studying in college. %ost of them are employed and with children either ' or +. In terms of the perceptions on effectiveness of birth control, they agreed that it is effective, as the #,-.# results implies that no matter neither what age group they may have, nor what academic attainment they maybe, if they are employed or not, regardless of number of

children and age gap, their perception on the effectiveness of birth control is the same. They all perceive it as effective. /sing contraceptives could help couples to live healthy and free from !e0ually Transmitted Infections (!TI . %any young women as of now get pregnant because of e0perimentation, curiosity and environment. There are a lot of changes in our generation as of today. In "amily 1lanning, it helps to improve the lifestyle and health of each family member. 2omen can protect themselves from unwanted pregnancies, and it could reduce the risk of unwanted pregnancies or unsafe abortion.

Co $%u#io # #ccording to our studies and research about the effectiveness of birth control pills, it3s general used and purposed. Their advantages and disadvantages using a descriptive method, we identified, analy$ed and interpreted the data that we have gathered we formulated a conclusion as follows4 2e therefore conclude that ma&ority of women has full understandings about contraceptive pills. Its actions, advantages and disadvantages. %ost of our respondents only reached high school, but is knowledgeable enough to use pills. %any cases of unintended pregnancies results from the use of less effective method of contraception. 2e also conclude, based on our study that

contraceptive lessens unintended pregnancies, it improves and health maintain the health of mothers and children through life saving measures such as proper spacing of pregnancies.

Re$omme !atio # 5ased on the research conducted, the researchers recommend that "amily 1lanning is important nowadays, as if your entering in a family life or if you already have a family. "amily 1lanning plays a vital role in a family because it limits the members of the family therefore parents can sustain their children of their family specially their basic needs unlike when you have a big family. In choosing the method of "amily 1lanning, the couples must agree what methods they will choose but must consider first their culture, beliefs, religion and happiness before we advise them to use any contraceptive to be non6&udgmental and respectful. The couples must go to medical practitioner or their physician if that contraceptive they chose will be suited for them, because there are some contraceptives that have some contraindication especially to their health status. 2ith the use of contraceptive it helps to lessen the growth of population and also for the safety of each couple. /sing a certain contraceptive could also lessen the spread of !e0ually Transmitted Infections (!TI it could also help couples to live healthy. 2e also recommend women in their barangay to attend seminars, programs and some debated in order to gain knowledge about family planning and contraception. #lso to their

barangay to create and make some programs about family planning and or any other matters that will make people become aware of family planning, man power to implement the 7-8 programs and the facilities must be improved to attain their goals and accommodate people who needed health services and there must be adequate supplies of medical equipments.
