To be considered for a Last Dollar Grant (LDG), all applicants must meet the following deadlines:
□ 2008-2009 Student Aid Report (SAR) - This is e-mailed or mailed to you after filing the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Remember to file the FAFSA by your school’s
priority deadline. Your SAR/ISIR may be accessed from the FAFSA homepage at
www.fafsa.ed.gov.
□ Financial Aid Award Letter – Send IKIC a copy of your financial aid award from the college or
university you plan to attend.
□ High School transcript – (2008 high school graduates) You will need to submit your final high
school transcript that includes your final cumulative GPA. Recent high school graduates (2008)
must have a GPA of 2.25 or higher.
□ College transcript (unofficial or official) – 2007 or earlier high school graduates) You will need
to submit your college transcript with your cumulative Grade Point Average for the entire
2007-08 academic year. Current college students must maintain a 2.0 cumulative college GPA.
□ Service Hours (4 hours) – LDG grant recipients must submit confirmation of the completion of
their service hours to the IKIC office.

These guidelines may be amended from time to time by the I KNOW I CAN Board of Trustees. Nothing herein shall be deemed to
guarantee that every qualified Columbus City School District student will receive financial aid to finance his or her post-secondary
education. Students shall not rely on, or in any way plan on, receiving Last Dollar grants as the primary source for their post-secondary
education.
