Logos
Description: These are three logos I created for the made up tattoo company. Date: 11.2.13 Course: Comm130 Section 2 Instructor: Sister Peterson Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator Objectives: Create a variety of logos that resemble a certain company. Process: I found the best fonts for the fist two logos and moved the text boxes around until they were nicely aligned. For the last one, I created a C and an I using the rectangle tool and put a star in the middle.

Montage
Description: This is a picture of Emma Watson from Italian Vogue and I added the image of the clock and the flowers. Date: 10.26.13 Course: Comm130 Section 2 Instructor: Sister Peterson Programs used: Adobe Photoshop Objectives: Create a montage by blending two or more images and add text to the image. Process: My filter is called equalize. I had to put the three images in three different layers using the brush tool. Then I added a fourth layer of text.

Letterhead
Descrption: Using illustrator and Indesign, I created a new logo and put it on the stationary for the made up comapny Willows Cafe. Date: 11.9.13 Course: Comm130 Section 2 Instructor: Sister Peterson Programs used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign Objectived: Create a new logo and stationary with a consistant design for a new, made up company. Process: I used the brush tool to create the lines for the stationary-giving it a homemade feel. I used a repetative green and brown color scheme. I used the text tools to created the logo.

Business Card
Descrption: Using illustrator and Indesign, I created a new logo, stationary, and business card for Willows Cafe. Date:11.9.13 Course: Comm130 Section 2 Instructor: Sister Peterson Programs used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign Objective: Create a new logo for a company and a business card with a consistant design. Process: I used the text tools to created the logo. In a 3.52 rectangle, I created the business cards using that logo and other design elements.

Brochure
Description: This brochure is advertising a tatoo company called California Ink. Date: 12.7.13 Course: Comm130 Section 2 Instructor: Sister Peterson Programs used: Adobe Indesign Objective: Create a folding brochure, use full bleed images, and 250 words of text. Process: I used the tri-fold layout in InDesign. Then I edited a picture of the hand so that it stood by itself instead of a square. I also made the text wrap around the text to look better.

Flier
Description: Black & White promotional flier to promote a graduate leadership conference. Date: 10.5.13 Course: Comm130 Section 2 Instructor: Sister Peterson Programs used: Adobe Indesign Objective: Apply the design principles and use appropriate typography to create a flier for the Graduate Leadership Conference. Process: I started of by sketching a few ideas. Then I put the basic needed information in the general area of my sketches. I moved stuff around and resized different things until it looked the way I wanted to.

Event Ad
Description: This is an ad to come to the gardens to plant flowers and raise money for the Senior Citizen Center. Date: Course: Comm130 Section 2 Instructor: Sister Peterson Programs used: Microsoft word Objective: Find, scan and import an image and use it to create an advertisment in Work. Process: I found an image and scanned it onto the computer. I imported it into a Word Document. I edited the image in Word and added text to create the advertisement. Scanned image is from a Better Homes Magazine

Web Page
Description: I created a webpage to showcase my logo. Date: 11.23.13 Course: Comm130 Section 2 Instructor: Sister Peterson Programs used: Text Wrangler, Adobe Photoshop. Objective: create a webpage wich includes your logo, and a description of how it was created. Process: I used text wrangler and css to create a code for my website. I went into photoshop with my logo so I could match the colors perfectly. I linked the files together and put my logo at the top of the website.

Imaging
Description: This is a picture of a tree I took and edited. Date: Course: Comm130 Section 2 Instructor: Sister Peterson Programs used: Adobe Photoshop Objective: Take a high quality image and edit it on photoshop to adjust the brightness, controst, hue, size, etc. Process: I just put my camera down by the trunk and snapped a few pictures and this is what turned out! I used photoshop to edit the color and make it more crisp and crop it into a square.
