Embassy of India, Kathmandu invites applications for scholarships, on prescribed data-sheet, from Nepalese nationals desirous of pursuing the following post-graduate/Ph. courses in Indian !niversities and Institutions during the academic year "#$%-$&. I. 'i( Silver Jubilee Scholarship Scheme) Provides scholarships for PostGraduate $#"%-# %-#.Sc-#%' and Ph.D studies in all courses e*cept Engineering, +griculture, ,edicine and para medical. -or post graduate courses, applicants should be graduates, should have minimum .#/ mar0s in aggregate at the bachelors1 level from a recogni2ed !niversity /Institute, minimum .#/ mar0s in English in 3lass 4II and should be %# years or less as on 5uly $, "#$%. 6ub7ect opted for post-graduation should be compatible with the sub7ect ta0en at bachelor1s level. -or Ph. course, applicants should be post graduate from a recogni2ed !niversity/ Institute with good academic record fulfilling the re8uirements of the concerned institute. +ge limit for Ph is %9 years for men and &9 years for women as on 5uly $, "#$%. 'ii( Dr. !omi J. "habha Scholarship Scheme. Provides scholarships for #E course in India. +pplicants should be "9 years or less as on 5uly $, "#$% and should have minimum .#/ aggregate mar0s in :E. 'iii( #.Sc $%&riculture' ourse) +pplicants should be "9 years or less as on 5uly $, "#$% and should have minimum .#/ mar0s in aggregate in :.6c. '+griculture( and minimum 9#/ mar0s in English in 3lass 4II. /nly those candidates 0ho have passed their "achelor and Post Graduate level e1aminations can apply for the above Post- Graduate and Ph.D courses respectively. (. Selection Process.

'i( 6hort-listed candidates will be called for interview, which will be conducted in Kathmandu, :irgun7 and :iratnagar. ;hey are advised to interact solely with the Education <ing, Embassy of India, Kathmandu or 3onsulate =eneral of India, :irgun7 or Embassy of India, 3amp >ffice, :iratnagar about the scholarship. ;he candidates should indicate their address and contact telephone numbers / e-mail address clearly in the prescribed column of the application form. +ny change in address/telephone number should also be intimated immediately through a letter. $ii' 6election will be based on the applicant1s academic record and performance in the interview. ?owever, nomination of a candidate by the Embassy does not guarantee admission to any Indian college/university for the above courses. 3onfirmation of admission by the Embassy will be given only after receipt of the same from the concerned Indian !niversity. 2e3uest for chan&e of colle&e- institution or transfer of scholarship after placement 0ill

not be entertained. If candidates 0ithdra0 or re4ect the scholarship offered by the Embassy due to non- placement in a colle&e-institution of their choice, they 0ill be debarred from future scholarship of the Embassy. ii( 6ubmission of incorrect information/Incomplete application forms by the candidate may result in forfeiture of the scholarship at any stage. iii( 3andidates belonging to "ara, Parsa, 2autahat, Dhanusa, #ahottari, Sarlahi, #a50anpur and hit0an districts should submit their applications to onsulate General of India, Shreepur, "ir&un4.
