0he Shadow are made 'rom :lac3 plastic and hail 'rom the 'ar reaches o' deep space 'rom the Shadow World% &t lies near a blac3 hole and all that li"e on this world are part+ shadow, which mirrors all o' their actions beside them% 0he shadow o' a plastic man is behind him, standing behind him% ,n the Shadow World, the shadow o' a plastic Shadow man is literally beside him always, copying his e"ery action and appearing e"ery bit li3e the physical Shadow man% 0he Shadows 'ear nothing li"ing or dead% 9al' o' the time their 'oes ta3e a certain shot at them only to 'ind it passing thro$gh their shadow, harmlessly% 0heir enemies 'ind themsel"es swinging wildly at the Shadow men with swords and other weapons only to land a 'ew blows while coming $nder attac3 'rom e"ery angle, 'rom e"ery Shadow at once% 0he Shadow ha"e tra"elled to other worlds and deposited strange Shadow Cages there, made 'rom :lac3 plastic and able to s$r"i"e 'light in space and ine"itable planet'all% 0he local inhabitants are drawn to these Cages and e"en begin to $se them 'or the imprisonment o' their own criminals% ,"er time, those who stay near the Cages st$dying it begin to disappear, more and more 'reE$ently, witho$t a trace% When the time is right, the Shadow Army $ses the Cages li3e a beacon to transport themsel"es light years away to other worlds in order to in"ade and capt$re enemy soldiers 'or trans'ormation into Shadows li3e themsel"es, who will ne"er be alone, with their shadows as their eternal companions% 0he Shadows trans'orm the world into :lac3 plastic, :lac3 trees, :lac3 ho$ses loo3ing o$t to a :lac3 Sea and contin$e expanding to other worlds to har"est their plastic and lea"e them a Shadow o' their 'ormer sel"es%

A large army o' Shadow Fnights, (22 in all with a gro$p o' (< 6o$nted Shadow Fnights, 47 Fnights with 6aces, 4 with Swords and 'ewer still (2 ! with 6aces teleported near to a 6edie"al Sil"er encampment with a large garrison% 0he

Sil"er Fnights had as many as the Shadow in proportions b$t with a mere two less with Axes% 0he Sil"ers had a Catap$lt and a Light Cannon with them as did the Shadow Army and the battle was Goined in a 'orest o' tall plastic trees% 0he Shadow Army began the o''ensi"e and p$shing their artillery 'orward while ta3ing losses 'rom cannon balls spat o$t by the Sil"ers% As the Shadow Army drew close, they toppled a tree and set another on 'ire which made it all too easy to spot the Shadow Fnights with Axes nearby, who were massacred by Sil"er Fnights with Swords% 0he Sil"er Fnights were o"ercon'ident and ad"anced a little too close and were charged by the Shadow Fnights with 6aces, who easily too3 them apart with some losses% 0he Shadow Fnights charged headlong into the Sil"er Fnights with Axes and c$t them all down as they gro$ped together to try and 'end o'' the screeching Shadow 9orses and dar3 riders slashing with their swords at e"ery t$rn% 0he Sil"er 6acemen 3noc3ed the plastic o$t o' most o' the :lac3 Swordsmen and was in t$rn p$mmeled by the remaining :lac3 Fnights with Swords and hand'$l with 6aces% When the 'ighting had 'inished, the Shadow Fnights stood "ictorio$s with only 2< Swordsmen and 4 6acemen still standing, standing besides their shadows% 0he Shadow Army har"ested the Sil"er 'rom the Sil"er Fnights and reco"ered the :lac3 plastic 'rom their own Shadow Fnights and resol"ed to $se their Shadows more care'$lly next time and bring their artillery to bear on their 'oes% 0he Sil"er Fnights were soon bro3en down on the Shadow World and trans'ormed into Shadow Fnights, standing side+by+side with the Shadow Fnights who once slew them%
