Alfresco Workdesk can run without a database connection. A JDBC connection and a single database table is required for each of the following options: Role management Additional audit history Persisting of personal preferences Anyways, the database vendors from the table above have been tested by QA (using the jdbc driver from the comment column) and there are corresponding scripts provided with any Alfresco Workdesk release to create the required databases and tables for those vendors..
