GUIDANCE NOTES ON ADDENDUM 5 Addendum Format The MG3 Invitation To Bid package has been amended by the addition of the items enclosed in the Addendum 5 CD attached to this folder. Documents which have been included in this Addendum fall into three groups:

New documents which have been issued for the first time and support the existing package.

Revised documents where changes have been identified by a revision mark in the left margin. The convention followed is to show the document revision, such as D2, and the vertical line tracked change marking. For example, Changed text

Tabulated comments where specific requirements in existing documents have been amended although the whole document has not been amended and re-issued in an Addendum. These tabulated comments are included in Attachment 2 of this document.

All documents are provided in PDF format and if Bidders search for the revision at which the document is issued (D2, D3 etc), Acrobat will identify pages which contain revised sections. 1.2 Addendum Index The index has been provided in Attachment 1 of this document and also as an XL file on the CD. A short description of the amendment has been included for clarity but full details on the changes are enclosed in the revised documents. The XL file will be of use to Bidders as it includes a hyperlink to the document location in the CD. 1.3 Addendum Item Numbering All items in Addendum 1 are numbered 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc. For ADDENDUM 5, items will be numbered 5.1, 5.2, 5.3 etc. The same numbering practice will follow on any further Addendum. 1.4 Major Addendum Scope Addendum 5 includes the specification for:
