Wood Fire Protection 1 KS & 2 KS


Thin-film intumescent coatings for Timber (wood) surfaces

DESCRIPTION
Hensotherm 1 and 2 KS, are wood (timber) coatings applied to the surface to stop flame spread. 1 KS is a transparent intumescent fire protection coating. The natural surface of the wooden materials remains visible. 1 KS is an environmentally friendly building material according to LEED valuation. 2 KS Outdoor protects wooden building components outside. 2 KS Indoor is designed for interior use on wooden materials. In combination with top coat HENSOTOP both coatings are good for accents of creative colour. 1 and 2 KS are normally spray applied and are classified according to European Standard, SBI-Test DIN EN13501-1

WHERE TO USE 1 & 2 KS


1 & 2 KS can be applied in residential, commercial and industrial construction where you would like to have a highly decorative finish while continuing to use your timber.

Why Use 1 & 2 KS?


Fire Protection with Aesthetic Appeal for wood. 1 & 2 KS has been designed to allow fire protection of wood without compromising aesthetic appeal or functionality: - Complete primer, fireproofing and topcoat solution, - Applied as a thin layer that does not compromise intricate designs and shapes created by timber, - Easy over coating with a wide range of coloured (RAL) finishes.

REQUIRED DATA
Product 1 KS 2 KS Approvals SBI-Test DIN EN13501-1 - Spread of Flame Transport / Storage - Transport and store free from frost- preferably at a minimum of +5oC to a maximum of +30oC. - shelf-life of unopened pails: 12 month from date of manufacture. - Opened pails must be re-sealed.
