From the Editor

Dear Readers, As-Salamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah, A few days back, I got an opportunity to visit earthquake-hit areas of Baluchistan. The earthquake is not only a cautionary alarm for all of us but a test from our Almighty Creator. Allaah says, And We send not the signs except as a warning. [17:59] We should recognize this sign from Allaah and should turn to Allaah. It is also a best opportunity to do Istaghfar. In those areas thousands of children, men and women have been left homeless by this natural calamity, children are starving for a little food. So, being followers of Islam, our prime responsibility is to rehabilitate them. This is the basic lesson of our Deen. Allaah says, Their meat will not reach Allaah , nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allaah for that [to] which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good. [22:37] To perform this sacred duty, the team of MyVision has planned to distribute gifts to the children of those shattered areas. These gift packs will be consisting of clothing, books, eatable of various types, toys and cash amount. This plan cannot be accomplished by proactive participation and keen interest of all of you. The Prophet said, Every day two angels come down from Heaven and one of them says: O Allaah! Compensate every person who spends in Your cause, and the other [angel] says: O Allaah! Destroy every miser. [Sahih al-Bukhari] So we should come forward to help those who are today the utmost deserved ones. Please feel free to contact MyVision magazine at the number 0321 404-0529 via call or SMS to extend your contribution for this exalted cause. Very truly yours, Asif Khurshid

eenage is said to be the most crucial and critical stage in ones life. This is the age when the child undergoes changes like puberty and other biological and hormonal upheaves. Teenagers are usually fashion conscious . They are emotional and become angry on the trivial matters. They do not like to be advised in every matter by parents and teachers, and like to spend most of the time with friends. They often become disrespectful to their elders and abhor bearing any left-handed compliments about themselves. arents and teachers need to be very conscious while dealing with youngsters .According to Islam, adolescence is the age when a person should be educated about responsibilities and accountabilities for their deeds and actions before Allaah on The Day of Judgment. So they should be made aware to distinguish between right and wrong .Parents should do their best to educate them about Islam in the same way as they are conscious about their worldly education .This is the best age for them to learn Quran and Sunnah. Direct guidance from Quran and Sunnah will surely help them to choose the right path for themselves. In teen age, there are strong influences by the peers on ones personality and he/she should be considered fortunate to be blessed with wise and virtuous fellows. Because at this age usually teenagers indulge in some bad habits just because of their peers. The following points can be helpful for their parents and teachers to deal with youngsters:

generation cant survive without technological use, but they should be checked and supervised. If the parents want their children to follow the Right Path, they need to set a strong example before them. Instead of criticizing them every moment, parents need to create an environment where teenagers find it comfortable to learn and practice Islam. Teachers should not ridicule them or humiliate them. Their self-respect gets hurt and they become revengeful. Dealing softly with them will be more effective. If some non-Islamic activities are practiced in the school, the parents should take serious action to stop them. Dealing with youngsters is one of the toughest challenges for parents and teachers. However a genuine effort by parents is most vital to ensure that they become good Muslims, capable of following Quran and Sunnah, along with their professional commitments.
Allaah says; O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allaah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded. [66:6]

Parents should listen to them and trust them unless there are indications towards otherwise. Most of the teenagers find it difficult to socialize even with known elders. They feel shy communicating with them. There is a need to develop confidence in teenagers. It is an age of making mistakes but elders should always be a there to guide them instead of discouraging them. Prophet Muhammad() used to guide the children. Umar bin Abu Salamah(RA) reported, I was a boy under the care of Messenger of Allaah(), and as my hand used to wander around in the dish, he( )said to me once, Mention Allaahs Name (i.e. say Bismillah), eat with your right hand, and eat from what is in front of you. [Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim] Parents should accepts and agree that this

Reward of Intention

REWArD of INTENTiON
ong ago there lived a wealthy and pious old man. He possessed a garden which produced fruit in great abundance. Whenever fruits of the garden ripened, the old man used to invite all the poor and needy people of his area and presented them share from fruits in a well-mannered and respectable way and whatever would be left was brought home. He was very much persistent in these practices. All the poor people of his area used to wait for his fruit to be ripened and when they knew that fruit is ready, they would reach the garden to

get their share and in return the people would heartily pray for the pious old man.

lmighty Lord liked this act of the person and with His blessings the production of the garden went on increasing manifold. The fact being, wealth spent on deprived and depressed never goes wasted and Allaah increase and multiplies the wealth of the person who extends alms and charities. The garden owner had many sons and all were idles and wastes. After the death of the old man,

the boys became owners of the garden. They did not follow the footprints of their father as they were not of the same caliber as their father was. They were unaware of the importance and benefits of extending donations and feared of severely negative consequences if they continued their fathers work. They were of the view that they work and strive hard in garden to make the production of the fruits possible so it would be an act of sheer irrationality and insanity to share the production with the poor. But one of the brothers was a

virtuous soul so he addressed the brothers and said, Oh my brothers! Do fear Allaah and follow your fathers path and share the production of garden with needy. On listening this, all the other brothers got angry with that noble boy and treated him harshly. As a result that brother surrendered to other brothers decision. But he asked them to explore a way to make this decision possible, knowing that on the time of fruitage the poor will come as per their routine and to stop them will be almost impossible. This was a serious issue to be dealt with because many people donate merely out of compulsion and fear of being defamed if they stopped giving, and not for the sake of Allaahs pleasure.

he brothers faced same kind of situation and they did not fear Allaah in about the poor people, but feared only of their repute being damaged. So they knew that if at the time of reaping the fruits, people will gather in their garden and they would have to give them some part out of compulsion. After some deliberation, one of the brothers suggested, We would secretly come to the garden tomorrow night and we would pluck all the fruit without anybodys prior knowledge, thus there would be no beggar or needy person to share it with, and we will take the whole produce and store it at our home. This suggestion was highly appreciated by all the other brothers and they got determined to accomplish that task the next day. Being misguided souls and deprived of spiritually, they even forgot to seek Allaahs help (by saying In-sha-Allaah).

ate at night, the brothers awakened each other to go to the garden to perform the task they had decided upon. They reached the garden (whatever was left of it) but thought that they had lost the way and this was not their garden. But when they examined carefully, they realized that it was indeed their own garden and that they had not lost the way. Now everybody screamed and cried on their irreversible loss. What happened to us? They shouted in abrupt emotions of grief and sorrow. The one with the pious heart and noble mind, MyVision Dhu al-Hijja 1434 Muharram 1435

At the decided night, as the brothers slept in their home (as the plan was to be carried out during the last part of that night), a horrible storm enveloped the garden and rendered it barren in no time. There were left neither fruit nor trees. It seemed as if someone had intentionally cutdown all the trees of the garden.

who never heartily liked their suggestion, came forward and spoke to them. My brothers I asked you not to stop your hand from giving the share of the poor. Allaah is our Creator and He has all powers to give and snatch anything from anybody at anytime. But you never paid heed to my words and now we had been deprived of what we were proud of. Now we are emptyhanded and have lost everything, only due to our ill intentions. ow everyone realized and said that yes, Allaah is neither cruel nor unjust, it is handiwork of our own. They truly repented their sin and bowed before Allaah to seek His mercy and forgiveness for their bad-intentions. Oh our Lord! Surely we have committed a blunder, please forgive us as we are now here to bow before You.

EARTHQUAKeS
WHY DO THEY OCCUR?

By Mansoor Salim

Why do earthquakes occur? This fearsome natural occurrence has been the cause of destruction of many cities, and even whole nations. Scientists have now come to understand better the underlining phenomenon that exist in nature which ultimately cause earthquakes and related disasters such as tsunamis and volcanic eruptions, etc.

THE EARtH IS NOt FLAt (AnD NOR IS It SOLiD)

The Earth is not solid. It is built as layers upon layers. We are on the outer Crust layer, which we see all around us. Beneath it is the Mantle, a silicate rocky shell mainly made up of Silicon Oxide and Magnesium Oxide. The Mantle is 2,800 km deep and it fills almost 84% of the Earths volume. The temperatures in the the Mantle range from 500 C - 900 C. Beneath the Mantle is the Outer Core, a layer with a depth of 2,300 km which is mainly composed of iron and nickle. The temperature range within the Outer Core starts from 4,400 C to 6,100 C at its deepest. The innermost layer of the Earth is called the Inner Core. It is a solid ball believed to be made of iron-nickle alloy, with a temperature equal to the that on the surface of the Sun, i.e., 5430 C.

Due to the difference in temperatures of the Mantle and the Crust, there is continuous process of convective material circulation going on in which hot (and lighter) material swells up, and cooler (and heavier) material sinks. Due to this movement, there is continuous sinking and rising of the Crust, which is one of the reasons why earthquakes occur.

WHY CAnt YOU (AnD EVERYOnE ELSE) StAnD StiLL?

Next time someone tells you to stand still, tell them you cant. The surface of the Earth that we stand on, called Lithosphere, which is the Crust and the upper portion of the Mantle, is continuously moving. But it is not one contiguous surface, rather the Lithosphere is composed of many plates, called Tectonic Plates. Eight of these Page 10 MyVision November 2013 Cover Feature

plates are considered major plates. The scientists explain many reasons for this movement, but we are mainly interested in knowing what happens at the boundaries of these plates when they move in different directions with respect to each other.

stored, earthquake occurs. Depending on the direction of the motion of the plates, and the relative position of their boundaries, the faults are classified as Dip-slip, Strike-slip, Oblique-slip, Listric fault, or Ring fault.

An EARtHQUAKE A MinUtE
The boundaries of these plates where they meet each other while moving away, towards, or sideways, are naturally classified into three types: 1. When two plates are sliding away from each other, their boundaries are called Divergent boundaries. 2. If the boundaries are sliding or grinding past each other, they are called Transform boundaries. 3. When two plates are colliding and coming towards each other, Convergent boundaries are formed.

Almost one earthquake takes place every minute on the Earth. But we can only feel one-fifth of them. Almost 90% of the earthquakes occur around the Pacific Plate, which is also known as the Pacific Ring of Fire. Himalayan Mountains are another area where massive number of earthquakes occur. When a fault ruptures and energy stored in the fault is released, this energy travels through the Earths layers in waves, called Seismic Waves. These waves are measured using seismometers in a scale that is called the Richter scale. Earthquakes that are lower than 3.0 on the Richter scale can hardly be felt. While those over 7.0 in scale can cause massive damage, depending on the depth of the fault from the Earths crust. The shallower the fault, the more destructive the earthquake. A similar earthquake struck Muzaffarabad in 2005, which was 7.6 on the Richter scale. Since history of earthquakes have been recorded, the largest earthquakes have been slightly higher than 9.0, the recent-most being the one that struck Japan in 2011.

ItS NOt MY FAULt (AT-LEASt I HOPE ItS NOt)

The continuous movement of the plates against each other causes discontinuity in the volume of rock at and around the plate boundaries. This discontinuity is known as a geological Fault. These faults store enormous amounts of energy. The maximum amount of energy that is stored is around Convergent boundaries. When a fault ruptures, i.e. the discontinuity in the volume of rock results in rapid movement around these faults due to the massive amount of energy Cover Feature

THE REAL TSUnAmi (NO RELAtiOn tO POLiticS)

Tsunamis are caused by any large displacements of water in the ocean, such as those that can occur due to earthquakes. These are large sea waves that can travel up to 800 km/hour. There can be a hour-long

MyVision Dhu al-Hijja 1434 Muharram 1435

Page 11

periods before another wave-crest of a tsunami can hit shores. Most tsunamis are created as result of earthquakes of more than 7.5 on the Richter scale.

Say, He is the [one] Able to send upon you affliction from above you or from beneath your feet or to confuse you [so you become] sects and make you taste the violence of one another. Look how We diversify the signs that they might understand. [6:65] Beneath your feet refers to earthquakes and being swallowed by the earth. [Abul-Shaykh alIsbahaani from Mujaahid] All earthquakes and other calamities that cause harm and injury to people are because of associating partners with Allaah and other sins. Allaah says, And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much. [42:30] What comes to you of good is from Allaah, but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself [4:79] What we must do to avoid punishment from the signs of Allaah is to repent to Allaah, adhere firmly to His Religion and avoid all that He has forbidden of shirk and sin. Allaah says, And if only the people of the cities had believed and feared Allaah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth; but they denied [the messengers], so We seized them for what they were earning. [7:96] Then, did the people of the cities feel secure from Our punishment coming to them at night while they were asleep? Or did the people of the cities feel secure from Our punishment coming to them in the morning while they were at play? Then did they feel secure from the plan of Allaah? But no one feels secure from the plan of Allaah except the losing people. [7:97-99] Ibn al-Qayyim said, Allaah sometimes gives the earth permission to breathe, which is when major earthquakes happen; this makes people feel scared, so they repent, give up sins, pray to Allaah and feel regret [for their sins]. When there had been an earthquake, some of the Salaf said: your Lord is warning you. When Madinah was struck by an earthquake, Umar (RA) addressed the people and said, [Repent from your sins] if there is another earthquake, I will not stay here with you. Cover Feature

SO WHY DO EARtHQUAKES REALLY OccUR?

Science tells us how do earthquakes occur. But our righteous predecessors told us to consider earthquakes and other calamities to be signs from Allaah, which He sends down to frighten us and to remind us of our obligations and duties towards Allaah. Allaah says, And We send not the signs except as a warning. [17:59]

The Prophet( )said, Religion is very easy and whoever overburdens himself in his religion will not be able to continue in that way. So you should not be extremists, but try to be near to perfection and receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded; and gain strength by worshipping in the mornings, the nights. [Sahih al-Bukhari] A few tips are given to make religion easy for us to follow. Well look at them one by one:

OLLOwinG ISLAm. DO YOU finD it HARD? LiKE itS imPOSSiBLE? ItS nOt PRActicAL in tHiS timE AnD AGE. It wAS fOR tHE ARABS 1400 YEARS BAcK. NOt US.
f you get these kind of thoughts, better kick them out of your mind. NOT GOOD! Believe the Prophet( )when he said, Religion is easy!

By Yumna

Receive the good tidings that you will be rewarded. Always keep the outcome of your efforts in mind. You dont want people to acknowledge your good deeds, you want reward from Allaah. Itll become too easy. Gain strength by worshiping in the mornings and nights. The most important point. Tahajjud prayers. They give you so much strength and spiritual boost that keeps you going through the most difficult times in life. Its the most beautiful time of the 24hours. The time when Allaah descends to the seventh heaven. Hes so close. He listens to your prayers. He gives you what you ask for. Ask for strength, Hell give you it!

Do not overburden yourself. Voluntary fasting is good, but doing it every day nonstop isnt. And frankly, you wont be able to continue it for long. Try to be near perfection. Whatever you do, do it perfectly. Find out exactly how the Prophet( )did it and follow the footsteps. When youre doing it for Allaah, hindrances lose their meaning.

onclusion: Religion is easy. Our misunderstandings and misinterpretations makes it seem hard to us. And sometimes, we just get too emotional. Keep these few things in mind and in-sha-Allaah youll find the words of the Prophet( )to be true.

ear children! The first person who set the trend and example of hospitality, cordiality and friendliness towards guests was Ibrahim (AS). As narrated by Abu Hurraira(RA) that our great sire, the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad( )once said; No doubt Ibrahim (AS) was the first person who set the trend of hospitality [At-Tibran] brahim (AS) always ate with guests and whenever no guest came to him he used to feel discomfort and uneasiness and did not eat anything. This sunnah of Ibrahim(AS) spread in the believers of that time and people started considering the act of hospitality as a first symbol of friendliness. With whom one had some grudge or rivalry, the eating or drinking in that persons house Page 14

was abandoned to show the host that their relations are not normal. It also become a custom that the host would never do anything unpleasant or hurting to an enemy if he had come as a guest. Once it happened that for more than 15 days no guest visited Ibrahim(AS) to accompany him at meals which made Ibrahim(AS) sad. Then one day, all of a sudden, three guests came to him. Those guests were angels Jibraeel (AS), Mikaeel (AS), and Israfeel (AS), in the form of men, to whom Ibrahim (AS) could not recognized and after formal Islamic greetings, they were brought in the guest room. After few moments Ibrahim (AS) without the guests prior knowledge sent his servant to slaughter a cattle for the them. Then the meat of the cattle was fried The Trendsetter of Hospitality

properly. Afterwards, Ibrahim (AS) spoke to his wife Sarah (AS) and told her that they had been blessed with three guests and that they would not leave any stone un-turned in serving them. fter some time all the fried meat and other foodstuff was brought in front of the guests and for their honor Ibrahim(AS) sat with them and asked Sarah(AS) to be on standby so that if the guests needed anything, they might not face any inconvenience, and he could tell her immediately. Ibrahim (AS) then asked the guests to start eating but none of them even touched the food presented before them. This made Ibrahim (AS) worried and a ray of skepticism emerged in his mind. Ibrahim (AS) took them as his enemies and doubted their intention as the attitude they showed was of serious concern for him because this was the prevailing trend at that time. The enemy would never eat food from their enemys house. Allaah greatly liked Ibrahims(AS) act of hospitality and recorded this incident in the Quran, verses 30:02-15.

Host should provide best available service to guests The preparation of food for the guests should be secretly done There should be separate place for guests arrival and departure Host should leave the guests alone for some time If guests eat the host should feel good and if not the host should feel sad and worry for it If the guest presents some excuse for not eating it should be accepted and they should not be forced to eat After some hospitality the guests should be asked the purpose for which they have come To respect and serve the guests for minimum three days is a symbol of a Muslims faith, as said by our Prophet (), The one who have faith in Allaah and the day of resurrection must respect his guest. [Sahih al-Bukhari]

rom the verses of the Quran in which this incident is narrated, some marvellous manners and lessons can be derived as principles of hospitality, which are as following:

Start of conversation between host and guest should be with salaam Guest should be given stay at best available room

ear children! These were some of the lessons taught to us by Allaah by recording the incident of superb hospitality practiced by Ibrahim(AS), and our Prophet ( )also laid great stress on this sacred act and immensely appreciated it by calling it a part of Muslims faith. Page 15

here was a situation of restlessness in the emperors court. Nobody till then came to the court the way that boy was coming. The ruler of Makkah asked his court-men about the person who was waiting outside to come in. The ruler was told that he is a boy with broken-heart and says that he does not have any recommendation but still wants to visit the ruler of Makkah. Send him back giving the excuse of my busy routine, thousands like him want to meet me so with how many of them can I manage to meet?, said the ruler. We already have tried all such tactics but in vain, the man is not ready to cancel, he says that if this meeting cannot be arranged, then there would be great losses all around, said the cadre. The leader of Makkah realized the severity and stubbornness of the stranger to meet him and after some deliberations, he submitted to the strangers will and allowed him to visit. After few moments, the guards brought the boy in front of the ruler. he ruler examined the boys physical features carefully and the saw his dress which was although neat, but a symbol of poverty and misery. The ruler presumed that the boy would firstly explain his deplorable plight and then would ask for some assistance. But one sign present on the boys face was rejecting all the rulers presumptions and that were the expressions of satisfaction and courage. The way he entered the court and the way he indifferently stood before the ruler were the gestures which annoyed the leaders and cabinet members present in the court at that time. All were expecting that the splendor and glory of the court will definitely create a tremble in the feet of the young man but this was not the case in reality, the boys entrance was forceful and stood as if he never cared about worldly wealth and powers.

Page 16

He greeted everybody present in the court in Islamic way and then told the ruler, My name is Muhammad bin Idrees bin Abbas, and this is my only introduction. The people of the court had already witnessed the pace of Imam Shafis feet, they were now listening to his oratory style. Oh ruler, I dont complain of my torn dress or my substandard food, I just complain you of the deteriorating situation of knowledge in your rule. I have to wander around for days to meet you, nobody was there in the whole of Makkah who may arrange this meeting and no one was ready to recommend my entry to the court, this is very unfortunate situation, Imam Shafi spoke with such a height of courage and dignity that voice of great orators of Makkah would seem negligible in front of him. he ruler of Makkah never confronted such a young person with such contentment and stature as Imam Shafi was blessed with. The ruler remained silent for sometime and then spoke gently, Now you do not need any recommendation and you can say whatever you have in your mind. I have not come here to gain some post in your court. I just want a letter from you for Imam Malik as I have come to know that it is very difficult to get admission to Imam Maliks institution so I request you to write some words to Imam Malik to recommend me for admission in his esteemed institution. It has come to my knowledge that Imam Malik will not reject your reference letter. So my appeal is for some of your written words and nothing else., said Imam Shafi. The ruler was deeply impressed by listening the young mans request. He never thought that a poor man would have such a great thirst and interest for Islamic knowledge and learning. Imam Shafi left a deep effect on the ruler through his conversation and clarity of objective of coming to the court. It would be my great pleasure to recommend you for Imam Maliks institute said the ruler. So Imam Shafi got the required letter and it is also said that the ruler tried to give Imam some money but he flatly refused to accept saying, Only this favour of yours is more than sufficient for me.

hen the Imam was leaving the court everybody was astonishingly surprised as they had never witnessed such a situation that a person utterly neglected the riches and monetary benefits offered by the emperor himself and just requested for knowledge of Quran and Hadith.

I cannot live in this filthy environment anymore,

said Abdul Uzza while looking at his surroundings. Darkness was prevailing all around, Abdul Uzza stood up while his body was completely wet with perspiration. How better it would have been if uncle had embraced Islam? Abdul Uzza said in a wishful manner.

to me, Abdul Uzza stood silent after uttering this. Please let me know what do you want, asked the uncle.

ew months ago Abdul Uzza was preached about Islam by someone. He accepted Islam from inside of his heart. Now he was impatient to migrate to Madinah but his uncles kind treatment, countless favours were the main hurdles in front of him so he could not dare to speak in front of his uncle. One day his uncle himself asked him, Dear nephew whats wrong with you? I have noticed you from quite some days you seem lost, is everything okay? Abdul Uzza humbly spoke, You did innumerable favours to me, brought me up, and gave me camels, goats and slaves. It was my duty as you are my late brothers son and his only reminder, replied the uncle. I wish you to do one more favour

lease let me go to Madinah, Abdul Uzza spoke, looking at his uncles face. Madinah? What would you do there?, the uncle asked in harsh tone. I was waiting for the moment when your heart would turn to Islam and then we both, Abdul Uzza kept on speaking looking towards sky. By Laat, if you had not been son of my late brother, I would have made a horrible example out of you the uncle said fiercely. Do whatever you want to do, I am going to embrace Islam, Abdul Uzza voice depicted strength of determination. So you want to embrace Muhammads( )religion? the uncle shouted. Yes Abdul Uzza spoke softly. Look! this Laat and Hubal will destroy you, the uncle stared. You did not see Makkah has been conquered, Kabah has been cleaned of the debris of polytheism, Abdul Uzza gained some strength. Think again, said uncle. Whenever I start thinking, my hatred for polytheism get stronger, Abdul Uzza replied. MyVision November 2013

But you would not take anything with you, the uncle warned. My body only is enough for me, Abdul Uzza said in a polite manner. You will be deprived of all the wealth and riches, you will go empty-handed, uncle warned again. I myself want to leave all this before my death makes me to do so, I only want to secure my faith and nothing else, said Abdul Uzza in an uncaring way. You will even will be deprived of the dress you are wearing, the told Abdul Uzza.

bdul Uzzas mother brought for him a blanket which he tore into two pieces and used it to cover his body and left his mother for Madinah. Abdul Uzza reached Madinah early in the morning, tired as he was, sat with a wall. The Prophet() asked, Who are you? My name is Abdul Uzza and I have come to meet Prophet Muhammad(). He embraced Islam and the Prophet Muhammad( )changed his name, and his new name was Abdullaah. He was made a part of the people of Suffa (the ones who stayed at the mosque and studied Islam).

bdullaah(RA) used to learn Islam and the Quran with great interest and was habitual to recite Holly Quran in a very emotional and enthusiastic manner. One day Umar(RA) complained to the Prophet() that his loud voice of recitation disturb the people praying nearby. The Prophet( )replied to Umar(RA), Dont forbid him as he has come here sacrificing all of his belonging for Allaah and His Prophet(). The preparations for the battle of Tabook were at peak. Abdullaah(RA) requested to the Prophet( )to pray for his martyrdom in that venture. The

Prophet( )prayed, Oh Allaah I declare Abdullaahs blood disallowed for disbelievers. But I have requested for martyrdom not for safety, said Abdullaah(RA) in a curious way. Dont you worry even if you would die with fever, Allaah will award you with the position of a martyr, replied the Prophet().

o the same happened, as there was no confrontation with the enemy in Tabook, but Abdullaah died of fever upon reaching Tabook and was declared by the Prophet() as the only martyr of Tabook. He was buried at night time. Bilal(RA) had light in his hand,

Abu Bakr(RA) held his body shifting it into the grave and the Prophet Muhammad(RA) was in the grave directing Bilal(RA) and Abu Bakr(RA), Please ensure your brothers honour. The Prophet(RA) covered Abdullaahs(RA) grave with his own hand and prayed to Allaah, Oh my Lord! I was pleased from him till evening (mean till death), I request you to be pleased with him.

ll companions of the Prophet( )who witnessed this, they wished that they were the ones to be buried there in place of Abdullaah(RA) that night.
