Gore-Tex® Paclite Shell is windproof, waterproof and releases sweat. Low weight, low volume,
soft and easy to pack, Gore-Tex® Paclite Shell suits biking, walking, hiking and other outdoor
sports where it’s important to have protection against rain and wind.
GORE-TEX® Pro Shell
This is the newest membrane Gore fabric. It uses a new type of woven backing fabric (GORE™
Micro Grid) to reduce weight and bulk, enhance moisture vapour transportation, and improve
tear resistance with maintaining durable waterproofness. This is the ultimate fabric to use in
storms in terms of protection, moisture transportation, weight and durability.
WINDSTOPPER® Active Shell
WINDSTOPPER® Active Shell garments combine base layer comfort with outer layer protection.
The special construction of the inner layer in combination with the WINDSTOPPER® membrane
offers perfect moisture management next to the skin. They are extremely breathable and
absolutely windproof.
WINDSTOPPER® Soft Shell
WINDSTOPPER® Soft Shell Fabrics combine the soft, comfortable fit of a mid-layer with
reliable shell protection against cold wind, light rain and snow. It provides maximum comfort
and freedom to enjoy the widest range of activities and weather conditions. They are totally
windproof, very breathable, water resistant, snow shedding, abrasion resistant and stretch.
PRIMALOFT® Sport
A breathable and lofty synthetic insulation that is made with ultra-fine fibers and specially
treated to be water resistant. Primaloft® Sport gives great thermal insulation to help the body
maintain its temperature, minimizing energy loss. Extremely light and soft, it was originally
developed by the US Army to replace natural down. As down absorbs moisture, it becomes wet
and loses its thermal-insulating abilities. Primaloft® absorbs three times less water, is 14%
warmer when dry and 24% warmer when wet, than the competitive insulations.
SCHOELLER® Dryskin
An extremely comfortable fabric, Schoeller® Soft Shell Dryskin keeps skin dry for hours
through its low level of moisture absorbency and high moisture-to-vapour transportation rate.
The fabric is water-repellent, durable, elastic, lightweight and easy to pack. By using newly-
developed, special four-chamber fibers, Schoeller® Dryskin increases the evaporation surface
and speeds up the drying process to a fraction of its original time. Consists of 80% nylon, 10%
Lycra and 10% Coolmax® polyester, impregnated against water and dirt.
DERMIZAX ™
Three-layer membrane material from Japanese fabric company Toray. It provides a very good
balance between performance and price. It consists of high quality shell fabric with non-porous
polyurethane membrane.
POLARTEC® POWER STRETCH®
This material is elastic fleece with a high level of thermo-regulation. It’s very light
and breathable and doesn’t absorb body moisture.
Layering System Of Clothing
To feel comfortable in the outdoors, appropriate clothing is a must. When choosing clothing
suitable for the intended level of exertion and the expected weather, we should remember that
it may be necessary to make changes according to the weather or the intensity of activity.
Modern functional clothing systems usually consist of three layers, which together resist
weather conditions, regulate heat and moisture transmission, and allow the body to stay as
comfortable as possible in any situation.
Absorption layer
The absorption layer transports moisture (i.e. perspiration) away from the body. It is made
of synthetic non-absorbent fibres and is in direct contact with the skin. Proper wicking of
moisture away from the skin is an essential requirement of technical clothing, and without it,
the entire system may be compromised.
Insulation layer
The insulation layer reduces heat loss and is breathable so that water vapor condensation is
minimized. In some cases it also functions also as a top layer. In these cases, more emphasis
may be put on its “windproofness” and water resistant qualities.
Top layer
The waterproof qualities of the top layer protect against unfavorable weather conditions (rain,
snow, etc.). The top layer is also breathable and therefore protects the interior layers against
the accumulation of moisture. It must also provide sufficient wind protection.

Functional outdoor clothing must be waterproof, windproof, and breathable. It’s all about
maximum functionality in various weather conditions and under various levels of exertion.

Any defects in materials or workmanship are covered by a four-year warranty. Warranty
does not cover changes in product quality caused by improper use or care. Claims or

Jan Kopka (Czech)

A world-class ultra-cyclist, Jan is a winner of the Iditarod Trail Invitational 2007, traveling 1,800
icy kilometers across Alaska in winter. He took 3rd in the Great Divide Race in 2004, a non-stop
race of 4,000 kilometers from Canada to Mexico through the Rocky Mountains. He competed
in the Dolomitenmann in 1996 and 2001. He got the Crocodile Trophy 2000 for his epic 4th
place finish in the 2,200 kilometer trip across Australia. He took 2nd in his category in the
TransRockies 2008, an extreme race in Rocky Mountains in Canada. He took 6th in his class in
La Ruta 2008, an extreme race in Costa Rica’s tropical forests. He competed in the TransAlp
2001, and many other demanding contests as well. This dude is seriously hard-core.

Dusan “Stoupa” Janak (Czech)

An accomplished climber and mountaineer, Dusan has many significant winter ascents to his
credit, such as Matador M11 PP (Kandersteg), Tool time M10+ PP (Kandersteg), and numerous
hard rock climbs, such as the Marmolada’s Fram 10- (8a+), and Yosemite’s mighty Free Rider

Tor Olav Naalsund (Norway)

Tor is an extreme skier and UIAGM mountain guide. A master of all kinds of mountain travel,
he’s known for skiing down some of the steepest couloirs and mountain faces that snow will
actually stick to.

Sigurd Felde (Norway)

Sigurd is a mountain guide and highly skilled mountain climber. He has climbed on all seven
continents, and was a member of the first Norwegian expedition that tried to climb K2.
About Tilak
Tilak is an ancient Sanskrit word and means a mark (tilaka) or a spot (tika).
In ancient India it was burnt into the body as a caste-mark and also served to mark
property. In the modern era it has gained a spiritual meaning. The red dot between
the eybrows symbolises the third eye of the Hindu God Shiva, which also conveys
a protective aura on the wearer. It is a word with a grand history and spiritual
