NAME: ______________________________________ YEAR & SECTION: _____________________________ Objectives Monitor the different weather parameters during the day every three hours. Determine the minimum and maximum values of each weather parameter. Calculate the average value alue of each weather parameter for the current day. Directions All the indicated weather parameters to be recorded on the data table below can be read directly from the Receiver/Display. The readings must be recorded during the time indicated on the data table. Units of measurement for each weather parameter shown on the Receiver/Display must be consistent with the units indicated on the data table to avoid misrepresentation of data. The maximum and the minimum value for each parameter will be based on the recorded data at the end of the day. The average value will just be calculated from the four readings given on the data table. For the weather outlook, the Receiver/Display also provide provides s the projected weather for the next six hours based on the registered parameters with 70 % accuracy. Check the column that corresponds to the current weather outlook during a certain time of the day. Refer to the fol following legend for the interpretation of the symbols. Legend for Weather Outlook DATE: ____________________ DAY : _____________________

Sunny: Generally clear sky. Shown on the Receiver/Display as a Sun icon/image.

Partly Cloudy: Part of the sky may be covered with clouds but the Sun is not fully overshadowed. Shown on the Receiver/Displa Receiver/Display as a Sun with clouds icon/image.

Cloudy: Most part of the sky may be covered with clouds and the Sun is overshadowed. Shown on the Receiver/Display as clouds without Sun icon/image.

Rainy: Precipitation may occur. Shown on the Receiver/Display as clouds with raindrops icon/image.

Stormy: Precipitation and thunderstorm may occur. Shown on the Receiver/Display as clouds with raindrops and lightning icon/image.

Guide Questions 1. During which time of the day is the temperature reading the smallest? the largest? 2. How do you interpret the relative humidity reading? 3. Convert the average pressure from in Hg to other standard units of pressure like mm Hg and Pa. Is the reading lower, higher, or approximately equal to the normal atmospheric pressure? 4. Is the day generally windy during the whole day based on your data? What is the average wind speed for the whole day? 5. Go to the official web site of PAG-ASA and compare your readings to their official weather forecast for the day. Do your data verify their forecast in your location? Cite probable explanations for your finding findings. Generalization Asses the weather condition of the current day.
