The search was f o r stolen property. During the search some drug paraphernalia and a scale were found. (See attached report of Chief Deputy Brouwer)

ATTACHMENT B

At 0732 hrs, on 12-21-13,1 went with Shelby County Sheriff Hervey and one of his deputies, to the residence located at 3190 290 Street, Sac City, IA. I was assisting with the execution of a Shelby County search warrant for stolen property. Terry and Jessica Weeks were not at the residence upon our arrival. Four children ages 12 and under were present. We remained outside the residence and made contact with Terry Weeks by telephone and advised him the reason for our being at the residence. Terry and Jessica were in Carroll at this time. We told them that we were planning to commence with the search of the residence.

At approximately 0745 hrs, we entered the residence. It was learned that all four children were siblings and the two twelve year olds were watching the younger children. Terry called right after we entered the residence and advised that they were returning home. While searching in the kitchen, Shelby Co Deputy Dontje located a black and blue backpack. Inside the front zipper pocket, items of drug paraphernalia were located. The items consisted of metal smoking pipes, a large silver pill grinder, and a digital scale. The search was stopped at this time and the Sac County Sheriffs Office investigator, Deputy Erritt was contacted to obtain a second search warrant for controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
