AND UNIVERSITY STUDENTS.

N0. AHSEC/ACA/CSSS/B-180/PT-V/2013/ The Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India has been introducing a Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students from the Financial year 2008-2009. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low income families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the results of senior secondary examination. 50% of the scholarships would be earmarked for girls. A scholarship under this Scheme is renewable from year to year up to Post Graduate level in the same stream. For all courses the scholarship would be renewed up to a maximum of five years provided the scholar must secure 60% or more marks in annual examination. The rate of scholarship would be Rs. 1,000/- only p.m. at Graduate level for first three years and Rs. 2,000/- p.m. at the Post Graduate level. Students pursuing professional course would get Rs 2,000/- p.m. in the 4th and 5th year. It would be paid for 10 months in an academic year. Students fulfilling the following criteria would be eligible to avail the scholarship: 1. Have passed the H.S Final Examination, 2013 in Arts ,Science and Commerce Stream securing minimum 80% of marks in aggregate . 2. Have pursuing regular course of study in a recognized institution after passing H.S Examination. 3. Have not availed any other scholarship. 4. Are to be from Non-creamy layer group in terms of Govt. of India notification issued from time to time. 5. The income ceiling of parents is Rs. 6 lakhs per annum Students fulfilling the above criteria and desiring to avail the scholarship may collect their Application form from the Head of the Institutions from where they have passed in H.S final Examination, 2013 and submit the same to the Secretary, Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, Bamunimaidan,Guwahati-21 within 31st August,2013

AHSEC/ACA/CSSS/B-180/PT-III/2011/ This is for information of all eligible students who have availed Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship that they are hereby directed to submit the application form for renewal of the scholarship within the 31st July as below: a) H S Pass out students of 2010 - 3rd renewal b) H S Pass out students of 2011 - 1st and 2nd renewal c) H S Pass out students of 2012 - 1st renewal. Students fulfilling the following criteria would be eligible to avail the scholarship: 1. Have passed the Semester / class Examination with 60% of marks in aggregate in Arts ,Science , Commerce , Medical and Engineering course.
