Yesung Tak Gu A #DTVphFYI: guys,better to throw-out your Baron Super Antenna that you are using today in ur households ASAP,for this kind of antenna is not compatible for#ISDBT. As we prepare for the #ShiftToDTVph, we must learn more about compatible antennas for ISDB-T...its best antenna configuration that will depend on ur location.
Dennis Glenn Flores 3-ELEMENT BARON ANTENNA UNDER 4NEC2. First of all, thanks to Sir Albert Cornelio for the dimensions and to Pat of DTV Pilipinas FB page. The figures are for VHF low band (ch. 2-6), VHF high band (ch. 7-13) and UHF band (ch. 14-51). The results of computer analysis of 3-element Baron antenna indicate that it is no better than the elementary dipole. The additional elemrnts have no significant effect on gain. The SWR curve has a very narrow dip indicating narrow bandwidth. The radiation pattern isn't unidirectional. This PhP750 antenna has a very similar results with the earlier 2-element Baron antenna so it isn't in anyway superior to the early version. My verdict: Just like the first version, it's not worth your hardearned money.

Joey Martinez Samson After the ABS-CBN Countdown to 2000 special entitled "ABS-CBN Worldwide Celebration Of The New Millennium", a plug called the "Millennium Overture", aired at 12:00 m.n. on January 1, 2000. The first scene featured all the past logos and station ID's (along with the Sarimanok) of ABS-CBN during that time on television screens. Later, a portal transports the viewers to a dark clear space, and displays the 1986 ABS-CBN logo for one last time. Then, all of a sudden, the 1986 logo began to shift its parts and transform them, starting its reconstruction into a new logo. The box is removed and replaced by a new crystal plane, the rings and line modify their appearance and start separating from each other, and the ABS and CBN names start to merge and morph into a newer ABS-CBN text with a more modern typography. As the 1986 logo reconstructs, the current logo of ABS-CBN becomes visible, and as the reconstruction finishes, the new logo becomes completely visible (with the line and text appearing in white), with the dark space becoming a black background with RGB light streams, and the slogan "In The Service Of The Filipino", now in Rotis Semi Serif font, more cleaner font (appearing in white), appearing below a white line, which is seen between the logo and the slogan. Later, the 1986 logo ended its lifespan and the new logo started being used as the current corporate logo.

Lian Las Pinas REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7297 REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7297 - AN ACT GRANTING ZOE BROADCASTING NETWORK, INC., A FRANCHISE TO CONSTRUCT, INSTALL, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN RADIO AND TELEVISION BROADCASTING STATIONS IN THE ISLAND OF LUZON AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES SECTION 1. Nature and Scope of Franchise. Subject to the provisions of the Constitution and applicable laws, rules and regulations, there is hereby granted to ZOE Broadcasting Network, Inc., its successors or assigns, hereunder referred to as the grantee, a franchise to construct, install, operate and maintain for commercial purposes and in the public interest radio and television stations in the island of Luzon with the corresponding auxiliary, special broadcast and other program and distribution services and relay stations, and to install radio communication facilities for the grantee's private use in its broadcast services. SECTION 2. Manner of Operation of Stations or Facilities. The stations or facilities of the grantee shall be constructed and operated in a manner as will at most result only in the minimum interference on the wavelengths or frequencies of the other existing stations or stations which may be established by law, without in any way diminishing its own right to use its selected wavelengths or frequencies and the quality of transmission or reception thereon as should maximize rendition of the grantee's and/or the
availability thereof. SECTION 3. Prior Approval of the National Telecommunications Commission. The grantee shall secure from the national telecommunications Commission the appropriate permits and licenses for its stations and shall not use any frequency in the radio/television spectrum without having been authorized by the Commission. SECTION 4. Responsibility to the Public. The grantee shall provide adequate public service time to enable the Government, through the said broadcasting stations, to reach the population on important public issues; provide at all times sound and balanced programming; promote public participation such as in community programming; assist in the function of public information and education; conform to the ethics of honest enterprise; and not use its station for the broadcasting of obscene and indecent language, speech, act on scene, or for the dissemination of deliberately false information or willful misrepresentation or to the detriment of the public interest, or to incite, encourage, or assist in subversive or treasonable acts. SECTION 5. Right of Government. The President of the Philippines, in times of rebellion, public peril, calamity, emergency, disaster or disturbance of peace and order, may temporarily take over the stations of the grantee, temporarily suspend the operation of any station in the interest of public safety, security and public welfare, or authorize the temporary use and operation thereof by any agency of the Government, upon due compensation to the grantee, for the use of the said stations during the period when they shall be so operated. SECTION 6. Term of Franchise. This franchise shall be for a term of twenty-five (25) years from the date of effectivity of this Act, unless sooner revoked or cancelled. In the event the grantee fails to operate continuously for two (2) years, this franchise shall be deemed ipso facto revoked. SECTION 7. Acceptance and Compliance. Acceptance of this franchise shall be given in writing sixty (60) days after the approval of this Act. Upon giving such acceptance, the grantee shall exercise the privileges granted under this Act. Non-acceptance shall render the franchise void. SECTION 8. Tax Provisions. The grantee, its successors or assigns shall be liable to pay the same taxes on its real estate, buildings and personal property, exclusive of this franchise, as other persons or corporations are now or hereafter may be required by law to pay. In addition thereto, the grantee, its successors or assigns shall pay a franchise tax equivalent to three percent (3%) of all gross receipts of the radio/television business transacted under this franchise by the grantee, its successors or assigns and the aid percentage shall be in lieu of all taxes on this franchise or earnings thereof: provided, that the grantee, its successors or assigns shall continue to the liable for income taxes payable under Title II of the National Internal Revenue Code pursuant to Section 2 of Executive Order No. 72 unless the letter enactment is amended or repealed, in which case the amendment or repeal shall be applicable thereto. The grantee shall file the return with and pay the tax due thereon to the Commissioner of Internal Revenue or his duly authorized representative in accordance with the National Internal Revenue Code and the return shall be subject to audit by the Bureau of Internal Revenue. SECTION 9. Self-regulation by and Undertaking of Grantee. The grantee shall not require any previous censorship of any speech, play, act or scene, on other matter to be broadcast and/or telecast from its stations; but if any such speech, play, act or scene, or other matter should constitute a violation of the law or infringement of a private right, the grantee shall be free from any liability, civil or criminal for such speech, play, act or scene, or other matter: provided, that grantee, during any broadcast and/or telecast, shall cut off from the air the speech, play, act or scene, or other matter being broadcast if the tendency thereof is to propose and/or incite treason, rebellion or sedition; or the language used therein or the theme thereof is indecent or immoral; and willful failure to do so shall constitute a valid cause for the
cancellation of this franchise. SECTION 10. Warranty in Favor of National and Local Government. The grantee shall hold the national provincial and municipal governments of the Philippines harmless from all claims, accounts, demands or actions arising out of accidents or injuries, whether to property or to persons, caused by the construction or operation of the stations of the grantee. SECTION 11. Sale, Lease, Transfer, Usufruct, etc. The grantee shall not lease, transfer, grant the usufruct of, sell or assign this franchise nor the rights and privileges acquired thereunder to any person, firm, company, corporation, or other commercial or legal entity, nor shall the controlling interest in the grantee be transferred to any such private person, firm, company corporation or entity without the prior approval of the Congress of the Philippines. Any person or entity to which franchise is sold, transferred, or assigned shall be subject to all the same conditions, terms, restrictions and limitations of this Act. SECTION 12. Separability Clause. If any of the sections or provisions of this Act is held invalid, all the other provisions not affected thereby shall remain valid. SECTION 13. Repealing Clause. This franchise shall be subject to amendment, alteration or repeal by the Congress of the Philippines when the public interest so requires and shall not be interpreted as an exclusive grant of the privileges herein provided for. SECTION 14. General Broadcast Policy. The grantee shall comply with and be subject to the provisions of a general broadcast policy law that may hereafter be enacted. SECTION 15. Reportorial Requirement. The grantee shall submit and annual report to the Congress of the Philippines on its compliance with the terms and conditions of the franchise and on its operations within sixty (60) days from the end of every year. SECTION 16. Effectivity Clause. This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days from the date of its publication in at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation in the Philippines. Ryan...huwag po kaung mg-alala bout sa trending ng Digital Terrestrial TV.the NTC still continues to permit applications for analog broadcasting of other channels like the incoming TV Maria and DWXI TV 35 (just in the case of INC TV 49 when they had returned in analog after the ISDB-T test broadcast).once the IRR for Digital Terrestrial TV is on the GO signal,all channels will have to switch from analog to digital but before the mandatory shutdown of analog,maaari p ring magbroadcast ng both analog and digital ang isang channel station hangga't hindi pa dumarating ang shutdown (take in the case of ABS-CBN and PTV 4,they both broadcast analog and digital,but in digital they are in a test broadcast mode). Nothing to worry kung pwede pa bang maglabasan ang mga panibagong analog channels (syempre may mga impending
congressional approval from the House of Representatives for tv franchising),at least paghandaan nila ang switch-over hangga't wala pang sinasabi ang NTC na hindi na nila papayagan na kumuha ng permit for analog broadcasting.

Ang mga test card ay para sa lahat ng mga TV Networks every during sign-off & before sign-on as being broadcast pa lang. -> ABS-CBN 2: SMPTE Color Bars w/ the display "ABS-CBN CH. 2" medyo taas ng konti ng 7-color bars yung label box is black at yung text na yan ay white ang font then w/ its test card music in a few minutes lalabas ang naturang Station ident image (w/ animantion) na may simply logo na ABS-CBN, w/ its slogan: "IN THE SERVICE OF THE FILIPINO, WORLDWIDE" then after few minutes babalik sa mismong SMPTE Color Bars w/ display: "ABS-CBN CH 2". -> PTV-4: Yung mismong Station ident image nya, ang nakadisplay doon, ang background color is blue, na may mismong logo w/ the slogan na "Telebisyon ng Bayan". -> TV5: bago sya mag sign-on ay lumabas is SMPTE Color Bars (w/o display) pero pag sign-off is SMPTE Color Bars muna then after 5-10 mins mag-aapear yung mga Program ident image/event image. -> GMA-7: Program Ident Image na My Husband's Lover w/ the slogan na "ANG PINAKAMAPANGAHAS NA DRAMA SA TELEBISYON", & yung schedule advisory is "GABI-GABI, @ 9:30 pm-PST, PAGKATAPOS NG MUNDO MO'Y AKIN sa GMA Telebabad". Lian Las Pinas [REPUBLIC ACT No.1 0 181 ] AN ACT GRANTING THE TV MARIA fOUNDATION PHILIPPINES, INCORPORATED A FRANCHISE TO CONSTRUCT, INSTALL, ESTABLISH, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN TELEVISION BROADCASTING STATIONS IN THE PHILIPPINES Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in Congress assembled: SECTION 1. Nature and Scope of Franchise. - Subject to the provisions of the Constitution and applicable laws, rules and regulations, there is hereby granted to the TV Maria Foundation Philippines, Incorporated, hereunder referred to as the grantee, its successors or assigns, a franchise to construct, install, establish, operate and maintain for commercial purposes and in the public interest, television broadcasting stations in the Philippines where frequencies and channels are still available for television broadcasting, including digitsl television system, Internet Protocol-related services
and Internet Protocol-value-added services, through microwave, satellite or whatever means, including the use of any new technology that may hereafter or in the future be developed in the field of television broadcasting, with the corresponding technological auxiliaries and facilities, special broadcast and other program and distribution services and relay stations. SEC. 2. Manner of Operation of Stations or Facilities. The stations or facilities of the grantee shall be constructed and operated in a manner as will, at most, result only in the minimum , interference on the wavelengths or frequencies of existing stations or other stations which may be established by law, without in any way diminishing its own right to use its selected wavelengths or frequencies and the quality of transmission or reception thereon as should maximize rendition of the grantee's services andior availability thereof. In no way shall the operator of the grantee nor the radiated power of its stations or facilities exceed that required to cover the area where it is allowed to operate. SEC. 3, Prior Approval of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). - The grantee shall secure from the NTC the 'appropriate permits and licenses for the construction and operation of its stations or facilities and shall not use any frequency in the radio/television spectrum without having been authorized by the Commission. The Commission, however, shall not unreasonably withhold or delay the grant of any such authority. SEC. 4. Responsibility to the Public. ..: The grantee shall provide adequate public service time to enable the government, c through the said broadcasting stations or facilities, to reach the .;, populatiOIi on important public issues; provide at all times sound and balanced programming; assist in the functions of public information and education; conform to the ethics of honest enterprise; and not use its stations or facilities for the broadcasting of obscene and indecent language, speech, act or scene; or forthe dissemination of deliberately false information or willful misrepresentation, to 'the detriment of the public interest, or to incite, encourage or assist in subversive or treasonable acts. SEC. 5. Right of Government. '- A special right is hereby reserved to the President of the Philippines, in times of war, rebellion, public peril, calamity, emergencY, disaster or disturbant., of peace and order, to temporarily take over and operate the statiojts or facilities oftlie grantee, to teinporarily suspend the operation:of any station or facility in the interest of public safety, security and public welfare, or to authorize the temporary use and operation thereofbyany agencY of the government, upon due compensation to the grantee, for the use of said stations or facilities during the period when they shall be so operated. The radio spectrum is a finite resource that is part of the national patrimony and the use thereof is a privilege conferred upon the grantee by the State and may be withdrawn any time after due process. SEC. 6. Term of Franchise. - This franchise shall be for a term of twenty-five (25) years from the date of effectivity ofthis
Act, unless sooner revoked or cancelled. This franchise shall be deemed ipso facto revoked in the event the grantee fails to comply with any of the following conditions: (a) Commence operations within one (1) year from the approval of its operating permit by the NTC; (b) Operate continuously for two (2) years; and (c) Commence operations within three (3) years from the effectivity of this Act. SEC. 7. Acceptance and Compliance. - Acceptance of this franchise shall be given in writing within sixty (60) days from the effectivity ofthis Act. Upon giving such acceptance, the grantee shall exercise the privileges granted under this Act. Nonacceptance shall render the franchise void. SEC. 8. Bond. - The grantee shall file a bond issued in favor of the NTC, which shall determine the amount, to guarantee the compliance with and fulfillment of the conditions under which this franchise is granted. If, after three (3) years from the date ofthe approval ofite permit by the Commission, the grantee shall have fulfilled the same, the bond shall be cancelled by the Commission. Otherwise, the bond shall be forfeited i"favor of the government and the franchise ipso facto revoked. SEC. 9. Self-regulation by and Undertaking of Grantee. The grantee shall not require any previous censorship of any speech, play, actor scene, or other matter to be broadcast from its stations: Provided, That the grantee, during any broadcast, shall cut off from the air the speech, play, act or scene, or other matter being broadcast if the tendency thereof is to propose andlor incite treason, rebellion or sedition; or the language used therein or the theme thereof is indecent or immoral; and willful failure to do so shall constitute a valid cause for the cancellation ofthis franchise. SEC. 10. Obligation of Grantee. - Any person aggrieved by any remark, report, statement, commentary or the like by a broadcaster using the same facilities by the grantee shall have the right to reply in the same program or any other program the aggrieved party niay choose. ' SEC. 11. Warranty in Favor of National and Local - The grantee shall not hold the national, provincial, city and municipal of the Philippines liable from all claims, accounts, demands or actions arising out of accidents or injuries, whether to property or to persons, caused by the construction or operation ofthe stations ofthe grantee. SEC. 12. Nontransferability of Franchise. - The graritee shall not lease, transfer, grant the usufruct of, sell nor this franchise or the rights and privileges acquired thereunder to any person, fIrm, company, corporation or other commercial or legal entity, nor merge with any other corporation or entity, nor shall the controlling interest of the grantee be transferred, whether as a whole or in parts and whether simultaneously or contemporaneously, to any such person, firm, company, corporation or entity without the prior approval of the Congress of the Philippines. Any person or entity to which this francl,rise is sold, transfened or assigned shall be subjeCt to the same
conditions, terms, restrictions and limitations of this Act. SEC. 13'. Equality Clause. - Any advantage, favor, privilege, exemption or immunity granted existing franchise, or which may hereafter be granted for television broadcasting, shall ipso facto become part of this franchise lind shall be accorded immediately and unconditionally to the herein grantee: Provided, however, That the foregoing sliall neither apply to nor affect provisions of broadcasting franchises concerI!ing territory covered by the franchise, the life span ofthefrancruse or the type of service authorized by the franchise. SEC. 14. General Brolidcast Policy Law: - The grantee -shall comply with and be subject to the provisions of a general broadcast policy law, which Congress may hereafter enact. SEC. 15. Reportorial Requirement. - The grantee shall submit an annual report to the Congress of the Philippines on its compliance with the terms and conditions of the franchise and on its operations within sixty (60) days from the end of every year. SEC. 16. Separability Clause. - If any of the sections,or provisions of this Act is held invalid, all the other provisions not affected thereby shall remain valid. SEC. 17. Repealability and Nonexclusivity Clause. This franchise shall be subject to amendment, alteration or repeal by the Congress of the Philippines when the public interest so requires and shall not be interpreted as an exclusive grant of the privileges herein provided for. SEC. 18. Effectivity Clause. - This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days from the date of its publication, upon the initiative of the grantee, in'at least two (2) newspapers of general circulation in the Philippines.

Several Local TV and Radio Stations were officialy shut down broadcast on Maundy Thursday or Good Friday but resumes broadcast on Easter Sunday. (Cable Channels usually go off-the-air broadcast but continued on their normal broadcast) Several Newspapers and Magazines which is no issues during those days. Several Shopping Malls which officially closed on Maundy Thursday, but resumes on every Black Saturday.

Nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Benigno Aquino III noong nakaraang Huwebes bilang batas ang PTV Revitalization Bill na siyang magbibigay daan sa pagbabago ng istruktura ng pagbibigay impormasyon ng pamahalaan sa publiko at heneral na libangan sa pamamagitan ng telebisyon.
Ayon kay Senador Loren Legarda, isa sa mga sponsors ng panukalang batas, napapanahon ang pagpasa nito bilang batas upang muling mabigyang buhay ang naturang istasyon. Dagdag pa nia Legarda, panahon na upang magpaalam tayo sa lumang charter ng istasyon na nagbabawal dito na tumanggap ng advertisements. Si Legarda at si Senador Gregorio Honasan ang nag-sponsor ng Senate version ng PTV Bill sa Senado Disyembre noong nakaraang taon. Niratipikahan ito ng Kongreso noong Enero 22. Ang Republic Act no. 10390, o mas kilala bilang An Act Revitalizing People's Television Network, Inc., ay naglalayong amyedahan ang kasalukuyang charter ng PTV Channel 4 upang payagan ito na makakalap ng pondo sa pamamagitan ng advertising at airtime sales upang magamit ng istasyon sa kanilang regular na operasyon. Makakatanggap din ng P5 bilyon halagang capital ang naturang istasyon, kabilang na rito ang P2 bilyon na magmumula sa National Telecommunications Commission (NTC). Ang P2 bilyon pa ay magmumula naman sa kinita ng privatization ng Radio Philippines Network, Inc. (RPN TV-9) at Intercontinetal Broadcasting Corporation (IBC TV-13). Habang ang natitira naming P1 bilyon ay magmumula naman sa 2013 national budget. Layon din ng batas na magkaroon ng 100% tax deduction sa mga donasyon ng real at personal properties of all kinds para sa istasyon, kung ito naman ay gagamitin para sa mga educational, cultural, at historical films, mini-series, documentaries, at informative ng istasyon. Nagsimula ang operasyon ng People's Television Network noong 1986.

MANILA - A unit of TV5 operator MediaQuest Holdings Inc plans to build stations, all of which will be in the ultra-high frequency (UHF) range, in 15 provinces. In a filing with the National Telecommunications Commission, MediaScape Inc is applying for a certificate of public convenience and necessity (CPCN) to install, operate and maintain 10-kilowatt UHF broadcasting stations in the following areas: - Tabas, Albay; - Tagbilaran, Bohol; - Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya; - Iriga, Camarines Sur; - San Jose, Nueva Ecija; - Bayawan, Negros Occidental; - Toledo, Cebu; - Baybay, Leyte; - Nara, Palawan; - San Jose, Antique; - Madridejos, Cebu; - Panamalayan, Occidental Mindoro; - Mati, Davao Oriental; - Cadiz, Negros Occidental; - Maramag, Bukidnon; - Calbayog, Samar; and - Sagay, Negros Occidental. MediaScape said it will operate TV broadcasting services in these areas for the benefit of the general public through the broadcast of quality programs. The company said it is legally, financially and
technically qualified to maintain and operate the service. MediaScape is seeking NTC approval of frequency allocation, construction permits, permits to purchase and posses equipment necessary for its continued operation. At present, TV5's 19 TV and five radio stations around the country cover 88.6 percent of the national urban population. Manuel V. Pangilinan, TV5 chairman, had said the company aims to cover 100 percent of the Philippine population this year. He had said TV5 will spend P6 billion this year to launch new programs and complete a state-of-the-art Media Center in Mandaluyong. Earlier, TV5 said it overtook rival GMA Network in Iloilo, Cebu Davao, Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod and General Santos City in the fourth quarter of 2012, sharing the top spot with competitor ABS-CBN. TV5 also gained leadership in Dagupan, where GMA7's steady decline has contributed to the former's growth beginning second quarter of 2012. Nelson John Baylon Jr. Party Pilipinas ordered by MTRCB to issue public apology over controversial dance number By Nerisa Almo (PEP) GMA-7's weekly musical-variety show, Party Pilipinas, is expected to issue a public apology on newspapers tomorrow, February 9, and on the show itself this Sunday, February 10. This is in accordance to the order of the Movie Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), which found the opening act of its January 27 episode as sexually-charged scene. The segment involved Yesterdays Bride stars Rocco Nacino and Lovi Poe doing a sexy dance number in the episode titled "Ssshh." In the latest statement release by the MTRCB today, February 8, it was mentioned that GMA Network admitted indiscretion and failure to selfregulate committed by the program Party Pilipinas.
Here is the full ruling of MTRCB about the issue: After hearing on 05 February 2013 GMA Network's admission of the indiscretion and failure to self-regulate committed by the program Party Pilipinas in regard to its 27 January 2013 episode (showcasing a sexually-charged opening number), the MTRCB's Ad Hoc Adjudication Committee, in gist, ruled on 07 February 2012 as follows: 1. While appreciating GMA Network's owning up to its responsibility as regards such program that had been given a PG rating, the Committee found the need for the said network to assure the public that there will be no repetition of the said incident. Thus, the network is required to broadcast in the next episode of Party Pilipinas on 10 February 2013 a PUBLIC APOLOGY in a tenor approved by the MTRCB via a full-screen audio and video advisory, plus a public proclamation of its undertaking to comply with the ADDITIONAL MEASURES listed below. 2. The same public apology shall be PUBLISHED IN A NEWSPAPER OF GENERAL CIRCULATION on or before date of said episode. 3. The network is required to submit to the MTRCB it's final report on the internal investigation alleged to have been commenced by the former within 15 days from 07 February 2013, including the resolution of the network on the matter plus any further undertakings. The said report will serve as basis either for the ultimate termination of the case or another public apology as may be necessary after due evaluation. 4. The program Party Pilipinas is placed ON PROBATION, on a PER-EPISODE BASIS, for a period of SIX (6) MONTHS. (This means that any violation of MTRCB-enforced law, rules, and regulations shall mean placing the program off the air, without prejudice to other sanctions.) 5. Concerned officials and personnel of the network responsible for the show, including but not limited to Jose Mari Abacan (VP for Programming), Mark Reyes V (Director of the program), and Lui Cadag (Executive Producer), SHALL UNDERGO GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT (GAD) TRAINING under the supervision of the MTRCB no later than the end of March 2013. This is meant to enable the program to effectively engage in self-regulation in terms of gender sensitivity. The same 07 February 2013 ruling provides that failure to comply with any of the above directives and undertakings shall subject the network to such appropriate sanctions as may be determined by the Ad Hoc Adjudication Committee. The ruling was served upon GMA Network on 07 February 2013, on or about 4:30 pm. The MTRCB wishes to express it's appreciation over the candor, maturity, and cooperation of GMA Network during the entire process. The Ad Hoc Adjudication Committee is composed of BM Noel R. del Prado (Chairperson), BM Ma. Carmen S. Musngi and BM Jose E. Romero IV.

Mark Anthony Aburquez Madera GMA Network expresses concern over unresolved channel absence on SkyCable GMA Network expressed concern over the continued absence of GMA channel 7 on its assigned channel on SkyCable (channel 12) in some areas. The Network said that SkyCable's transferring of GMA to channel 99, while it is trying to resolve problems in its system, is unfair to the Kapuso Network's viewers who are used to watching GMA on channel 12 on SkyCable. The Network believes that it should be the responsibility of SkyCable to make certain that any changes it implements in the system does not in any way affect the channels for the sake of the viewing public and paying subscribers, said Butch S. Raquel, GMA Consultant to the CEO for Corporate Communications. GMA Network filed a complaint at the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) on February 5, 2013 and requested the NTC to implement the necessary action against SkyCable for conducting a series of activities that have resulted in disruption. The Network reported that it directly received an influx of complaints from televiewers last Friday, February 1, 2013 citing the disappearance of GMA from SkyCables channels. This was verified with the Customer Service Representative of SkyCable, who said that they were also receiving similar complaints from their subscribers. GMA was told that SkyCable was undergoing technical system maintenance but was not given a thorough explanation on why GMA was affected by such maintenance activities. It was only in the late afternoon of the following day, February 2, 2013, that SkyCable made a temporary remedy by transferring GMA from Channel 12 to Channel 99. To aggravate matters further, SkyCable broadcast its advisory for such transfer only on a few channels. According to GMA, affected cable subscribers were irate because they missed their favourite GMA programs due to the incident and consequent limited advisory. GMA also recalled in its letter that on September 23, 2012, a similar incident occurred when SkyCable implemented an activity in preparation for additional HD channels on their digital platform without the benefit of successful off-line pre-testing and revert option. Nganga Na Naman [IBC-13] IBC, magiging pribado na ngayon 2013. AYON sa isang empleyado ng IBC-13 na nakausap ko, sinabihan na sila noong Christmas party ng TV network na ngayong 2013 ay mapa-privatize na sila katulad ng RPN 9. Hindi pa lang daw sinasabi sa mga tauhan ng Trese kung sino ang bibili sa kanilang TV network. Pero sana, si MVP (Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan) ang makabili ng Trese para mas maganda, sabi ng isang taga-production ng IBC-13. Umaasa pala ang mga taga-Trese na si MVP ang bibili ng nasabing TV network para mas maging maganda ang separation pay nila. Si MVP ang may-ari ng AKTV, ang major blocktimer ngayon sa IBC-13 dahil doon ipinalalabas ang sports shows ng TV5. Source: Kakulay Enterteinment

Edison Bandilla Kung binili ni MVP yan, magiging full channel ang AKTV o kaya maglagay sila ng ibang programa.
