Version 3.0 First of distributed Version 3.

1 - New "Conic" sky projection added - New button "Rising/Setting" added into the window of object information - New "Find star" dialog box added to search a star by it's name - New menu item added for quick view of information of an additional objects - While parameters of a fixed object are being changed, you may select the epo ch of it's coordinaties - Some small interface changes are implemented - Some bugs are corrected (including erroneous work with dates before 1900) Version 3.11 - "Conic" projection is slightly changed Version 4.0 - Constellation lines added - 110 deep-sky objects (galaxies, nebulae, star clusters) added - Calculation of star proper motions added - Background color may be changed during sunset/sunrise - Autorotation mode added - Interface changed essentially - Program can be installed with full registration and possibility of uninstallation - Improved speed of catalog loading - File of settings made as standard ini-file - Maximum zoom 600% - Time zone may have a fractional part - Many impovements introduced in program code - Few other small interface changes implemented - Few small bugs corrected Version 4.1 - Coordinate grid added - List of cities added (Longitude, Latitude and Time Zone) - Some interface changes (selection North/South latitude, East/West Longitude, etc. instead of positive/negative values) - Proper names of bright stars may be drawn directly on the sky image - Moon image is more noticeable now - Using of B.C. years corrected: now "zero" year is absent and negative values correspond to B.C. years - Bug corrected: possibility of non-coordination between printed and visible on screen sky regions - Some other small bugs are corrected Version 5.0 (beta) - Full change of work with sky objects: now all of them work through common "Plugin StarCalc interface to catalogs and object groups", therefore with help of Plugins, program can extend it's possibilities to catalogs support and many other things - New "Detailed view" mode with zoom up to 100000% - Very many changes, improvements and additions in the program interface and it's code Version 5.0 (Release) - Bugs are fixed - Higher precision of Sun, Moon and planets positions calculation

- Individual parameter for color of Sun image - New "view position toolbar" panel Version 5.5 (Beta) - "Save sky image as file" function added - New "Object locking" mode - Civil & astronomical twilight colors for image background are added, new restriction on star magnitudies during daylight & twilight option. - View position toolbar removed - Search of point by its equatorial/horizontal coordinates - "Show on screen as bitmap" option - Setting of azimuth zero point to North or South - Mirror view option - "Print sky image as bitmap" option - Date boundaries, which can be entered into the program, are extended - Sky image can be shifted in the detailed view mode - Azumith rotation angle can be set by fixed values with 90 step. - Several pre-defined values of duration of rotation step are added - Many improvements in the program interface, include "hot" keys for most of operations - Palette support for 256-color modes - New main icon of the program - If the installation program overwrites an old version of StarCalc, it saves these settings, which were selected previously - Search functions for all of main object groups are added - Interfaces of Sun and Moon are remade in order to have its images drawn more accurately according to sky projection type - Calculation of Sun, Moon and planets is optimized by speed - More accuracy calculation of planet magnitudies, information of planet visible diameters - "Horizon" and "Horizontal coordinate grid" are changed in order to exclude errors at work with some video drivers if zoom is set to values about 400-600% - "Color stars" plugin is included into the program as standard interface - Some bugs are fixed and many internal improvements of the program implemented

Version 5.5 beta 2 - Full change of work with Sun, Moon and planets. - New "Common information" window - Some bugs are fixed Version 5.5 beta 3 - New "Atmospheric refraction" function - Some bugs are fixed, several improvements for higher precision of sky objects drawing Version 5.5 Release - Following interface changes are implemented: In the "Object selection" mode, if you press and hold down the left mouse button, you can scroll the sky image by dragging it with the mouse; The program automatically closes "Date and time" window, "Azimuth rotation angle" window, etc., if you click mouse outside its bounds; "Information" window can be resized. You also not need to close it to continue work with the program. Now this window can be always visible. When object selection or data has changed, program will refresh the contents of the information window automatically; Some other small improvements in the program interface; - New "Angular distance between two points" function - New "Copy" button in "Information" and "Visibility period" windows, in order to copy contents of window to the Windows clipboard - The time at which the object transits the meridian is added to the "Visibility period" window - Few bugs are fixed - The better support for 256-color modes - Several improvements in program code Version 5.6 New improved plugin interface New "Save program state"/"Restore program state" functions are added Operation and parameters of autorotation mode are changed "Add legend to printed page" parameter is added Manual setting of Ephemeris-Universal time difference is added "Hour angle"/"Right ascension" switch is added for the status bar information ToolTips for sky objects are added Dialog window for duration of rotation step is improved Many other changes and additions in the program interface Type of constellation names (English, Latin or Latin abbreviations) in the program can be selected in parameters of "Constellation names" group Type of planet labels ("Symbols" or "Names") can be selected in parameters of "Planets" object group Images of planets are shown as disks at high magnification values Information about objects of standard groups is extended Other improvements in standard object interfaces are implemented Many changes and improvements in the program code

- Some bugs are fixed Version 5.7 - "Output console" is added for accumulation ephemeris tables and other information for printing and saving to file - Ephemeris tables calculation for any selected objects (at the current time for group of various objects and at time period for one object) - Object paths calculation - Working with set of color schemes and fast switching between these. - Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus satellites - Saturn rings - In the program state file can be saved: The object locking mode, object selection, autorotation parameters, auto start and stop of autorotation mode. - Autorotation mode is enabled in "detailed view" - Print preview for sky image and output console - Maximum zoom increased to 200000% - Algorithms of star images calculation are changed - Support of mouse "wheel" and added new "hot" keys - Positions and sizes of information window saving - Better support for "large fonts" mode - Some improvements of plugin interface - Some improvements in graphics and other in sky image - Some bugs are fixed Version 5.71 - More objects in "Deep-sky objects" group - New turn "on/off" print preview parameter - Some bugfixes (especially for using with Windows ME...) - Some improvements Version 5.72 - Bug fixed: Sun and Moon images draws slightly incorrectly (very important when Mercury and Venus transit through the Sun disk) - Small bugfix in Uranus satellites calculation Version 5.73 - ASCOM Telescope control support
