INTRODUCTION
Entrepreneurs take initiative, accept risk of failure and have an internal locus of control. Entrepreneurs play an important role in developing and contributing to the economy of a nation. Entrepreneurs also play a vital role in economic development as key contributors to technological innovation and new job growth. Further, entrepreneurs help in building communities in ways such as providing jobs, conducting business locally. As the nation strives to recover from the Great Recession, job creation remains one of the biggest challenges to renewed prosperity. Small businesses have been among the most powerful generators of new jobs. This opens up doors for entrepreneurs who are willing to soil their hands and work hard to reap the benefits of progress and prosperity.

OBJECTIVES
! To provide the students an opportunity to showcase their creativity in order to explore their business skills. ! To give students an opportunity to interact with professionals from industry, universities and successful entrepreneurs. ! To promote interest in entrepreneurship as a career. ! To identify the process of starting up an enterprise.

GUIDELINES FOR PARTICIPATION


! ! ! Each team may comprise of maximum of 3 students. The business plan should be accompanied by a certificate of its being original piece of work on the institution letter head counter signed by the director of the institute. The first page of each entry should contain: Name of the institute Mailing address Contact phone no. / Mobile no. Email id Course pursuing Name(s) of the team members

(Note more than 5000 words. The standard format in which to send the plan font: times new roman, font size: 12, line spacing: 1.5) Eligibility: competition is open to all bonafide Engineering, Graduate, Post graduate MBA/MCA students of a recognized university/ Institution.

RULES FOR SUBMITTING BUSINESS PLAN


! Each business plan must be an original piece of work. ! Request for revaluation or extension of deadlines will not be entertained. ! The organizers are not liable for nay failure in case of non recipient of the business plan within the stipulated deadline. ! Judges will have the sole discretion in judging the executive summaries and business ideas. ! Final business plan should be presented through power point presentation and presenters should submit one hard copy for reference. ! Each entry must be accompanied with a DD in favour of Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies payable at Delhi.

JUDGING CRITERIA
The entries for the business plan will be evaluated on the basis of the following parameters: ! Innovation ! Perceived feasibility of the venture ! Sustainability ! Profitability and Business ethics.

Note: Journal of Practicing Manager will consider to publish the winning Business Plans.

Registration fee is inclusive of certification, seminar kit, lunch, tea, etc. Fee is payable by DD/cash in favour of Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies payable at Delhi. Registration fee is not refundable. The payment should be send to the convener as per the enclosed registration form.

ABOUT THE INSTITUTE


Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Professional Studies affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi has been established in the year 2008 for running professional programmes in the area of management. The institute is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi for running MBA/MCA programmes. The institute was established under the aegis of Shri Banarsidas Chandiwala Sewa Smarak Trust Society that is working in the field of health and education since 1952. The institute consistently focuses on imparting value based management education, thereby fostering an environment for developing professionals with a contemporary and pragmatic attitude and approach. The process management approach followed by the institute facilitates in effective implementation of each process and its monitoring.
