Focus on interactions and exchanges of energy, water and greenhouse gases within these ecosystems with emphasis placed on atmosphere - biosphere interactions associated with the global carbon cycle, energy use, bioenergy interactions and plant use in the region. The candidate will be responsible for parameterization, calibration and validation of the computer model with measured data, data analysis and reporting. Candidate will also complete coursework necessary for Ph.D. degree with a dissertation topic related to areas with improvement to agro-ecosystem models at different spatial scales, impacts of climate change and climate variability and their impacts on food-water-energy nexus.
