1. OBJECTIVE:
To ensure that incoming mails, parcels and packages are checked and handled properly to prevent harmful materials from entering and affecting the target recipient, materials, products and facilities of the plant.

4. FOOD SAFETY REMINDERS:


4.1 Use hand gloves and masks when necessary. 4.2 Wash hands or shower with soap and water when necessary.

5. GUIDELINES:
For suspicious or source is not specified or unknown: 5.1 Isolate or quarantine the mail or package in the Security Office. 5.2 Refrain from opening the mail or package. 5.3 Do not shake the envelope or package. 5.4 Inform the addressee or the Safety officer for their disposition. 5.5 If the mail or package needs to be opened, do so away from the face and use gloves and mask if necessary. Open it carefully and if possible, in an isolated place. 5.6 Inspect the envelope or package for any unusual substance before removing the contents. 5.7 If any unusual material is present, ensure that there is no spillage and seal the envelope in a plastic bag or similar container. 5.8 If there is spillage - isolate the area, turn off fans, close off vents and close the door. 5.9 Wash hands with soap and water. 5.10 If clothing has been contaminated, remove clothing immediately and place in a sealed plastic bag or container. Do not clean or dispose of the clothing until tests have been performed. 5.11 Notify the appropriate law enforcers or emergency management team. 5.12 Shower with soap and water as soon as possible. 5.13 Make a list of personnel who were possibly exposed. 5.14 Await the advice of the law enforcers or emergency management team.
