This is my personal collection of poems, sayings, encouraging words, emails sent to me over the

years to help encourage others who are faint hearted. I would like to give credit to all of those

who contributed to this collection and thank them for allowing me to pass along the encouraging

words to help others in their daily struggles.

Angels hover around us,

With outstretched wings.

Answered by our prayers,

They protect when needed.

They dance around the Throne,

And whisper

God’s direction.

Angels, God’s messengers of love,

Sent from heaven to watch over us.

Believe In Yourself

To the depth of your being.

Nourish your talents

Your spirit is freeing.

Know in your heart

When the going gets tough

That your faith In yourself

Will continue to grow

Don’t forfeit ambition

When others may doubt.

It’s your life to live

So live in the Now.

When things are not going well for you and times are not what they should be

Just focus on the positive and think about what could be.

Acknowledge what has happened

Do not lose sight of lessons past

But do not allow the negative

Distracting thoughts to last

Take what you have learned and start from there.

Draw strength from your struggles

Give you a sense of purpose

To be your new foundation.

It is hard to follow any plan

Precisely to the letter

Through life right now is difficult

Things will get better.

“This too shall pass.”

If you follow your dreams and your bright hopes turn to gray

Do not wait for reassuring words

Or hands to lead the way.

For seldom will you find a soul

With dreams the same as yours.

It’s not often another will help you

Especially in your time of need.

Go ahead and pass through the untried doors.

If inner forces urge you

To take a course unknown,

Be ready to go all the way.

Yes, go through the open door, alone.

Draw lessons from the past

Find confidence within your heart and let it be your guide.

Strive to reach your dreams and they will not be

Denied.

Before I die, it is more important to receive flowers once in awhile.

They are alive, and well and brighten my day.

Because once I pass on to Heaven

I will bring with me those memories.

I would rather have flowers now from family and friends

To wish me well and a good day.

Than a truckload of flowers when I am dead.

I got up early one morning and rushed into the day

I had so much to do that I forgot to pray.

Problems seem to rush into my thoughts

And each task seemed to stay.

Why doesn’t God help me?

He answered, “You did not ask.”

I tried to come into God’ presence

To no avail.

God gently and lovingly sighed,

“My child, you did not ask, seek, or knock.”

Today

I woke up early and paused

Before entering the day

I had so much to do that I had to

Take my time and

Pray.

Angels are all around us

Created by God above.

There is one for you and one for me

Sent down to us from somewhere up above

Michael the Archangel has so much work do

All he ask is for you to say

What you need and he will make is true.

He will watch over you and me

As our human eyes cannot see

He’s working behind the scenes to

Arrange what we need.

Love is patient

Love is kind

Love is not jealous

Or boastful

It is not arrogant or rude

It is not abuse; emotionally, mentally or physically.

Love does not want its own way

It is not irritable

Or resentful

It does not rejoice in wrong

But rejoices in the right.

Love bears all things

Believes all things,

Hopes all things,

Endures all things

Love Never Ends.

The Ten Commandments

Are to be read and understood.

If we follow these commands

Life will be good.

God is the only one

To be worshipped

With respect to his name

Honor Him in word, deed, and worship.

God gave your parents to you to honor and respect.

You shall not kill,

Committed adultery

Steal

Lie

Or be false in any way.

Amen.

Dear God,

Give me the courage to begin my life again

To overlook the hardships

To overcome the obstacles

And to stay open to the moment; which is here and now.

Help me be patient enough to know it takes time to heal

And wise enough to ask for your help

Or any help from family, friends and even strangers when I need it.

As I look to the future, may

I reflect on the past and remember the lessons.

And, God, thank you for helping me always look to you

for my strength and guidance.

Help me, God, to move beyond my hurt and make the healing choice to Forgive.

May your love warm my heart

So I can reclaim the freedom and peace that come only with

Forgiveness.

Dear Lord, free me from

The painful memories of my past.

Untie the roots of bitterness

From my heart

So that finally I am able to let go

And let God work a miracle

Of love and forgiveness I my life

One day at a time.

Lord, in all I do today, remind me that there is

Just one way to do

The things that I do best,

To put my mind ad heart at rest

And that is to put in your hands

My life that you alone have planned.

God grant me serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can,

And

Wisdom to know the difference

Living on day at a time

Enjoying one moment at a time.

Accepting hardship as a pathway to peace.

Taking as Jesus did, this sinful world

As it is, not as I would have it.

Trusting that You will make all things right if

I surrender to Your will.

So that I may be reasonably

Happy in this life

And supremely happy with

You forever in the next.

I shall not pass this way again

And any good therefore

That I can do, or any kindness

That I can show

Let me do it now.

Let me not defer it or neglect it,

For I shall not pass this way again.

This new day

Is given to us

Uncluttered, fresh

And clean.

Yesterday’s troubles

Are in the past

Tomorrows may never be seen

God has granted us this new day

To do with it as we will

Let’s fill it with kindness and love

For tomorrow may not come.

Sometimes the stress I feel

Lord, seems more

Than I can bear.

That is why I am counting on you

Because I know how much you care.

I know that troubles can teach, so I am not asking that hey cease.

What I really need is just a little

Of your Peace.

Our lives are made up of millions of moments,

Spent in a million different ways.

Some are spent searching for

Love, peace, and harmony.

Others are spent surviving day by day.

But there is no greater moment

Than when we find that life,

With all its joys and sorrows,

Is meant to be lived on day at time

It’s in this knowledge that we discover

The most wonderful truth of all.

Whether we live in a forty room mansion,

Surrounded by servants and wealth,

Or find it a struggle to manage

The rent month to month,

We have it within our power to be fully

Satisfied and live a life with true purpose and meaning.

One day at a time

We have that ability

Through cherishing each moment

And rejoicing in each dream.

We can experience each new day

And with this fresh start we have

What it takes to make all of our dreams come true.

Each day is new and living one day at a time

Enable us to truly enjoy life and

Live in the moment to its fullest.
