**FLEXI FARE RULES - Virgin Australia domestic and international short haul: THE BASICS: This is our flexible Economy fare. There is no fee to change the time and date of your flight. This fare is refundable in most
circumstances by paying the applicable fee, up to 24 hours after departure. You receive an included carry-on and checked baggage allowance (see BAGGAGE) and have access to In-Flight Entertainment (if offered) and a food and drinks package onboard.

BAGGAGE: This fare includes 7kg carry-on baggage and a checked baggage allowance of 1 piece (up to 23kgs per piece). An allowance of up to 2 additional baggage pieces can be pre-purchased, at the same weight limit as your included piece, up to one hour before departure of your flight, either online, via our mobile application, or by calling the Guest Contact Centre (where a service fee may apply). Prepurchased checked baggage allowances incur significantly smaller fees, than baggage allowances purchased at the airport. Additional pieces of baggage must fit within the weight and size requirements of your baggage allowance. More information regarding baggage is available at

FLIGHT CHANGES: If you used our website or mobile application to book your flight, you can change the date and time of your flight online or via our mobile application up to 60 minutes prior to your flight's scheduled departure time. You may also contact the Guest Contact Centre (GCC) up to 24 hours after your flight's scheduled departure time to make a change. There are no applicable fees for flight changes on Flexi fares. FARE DIFFERENCE: Your new fare will be at least the price of the original fare, and may be more. You must pay the fare difference when you change your booking. In most cases, you can change your flight on our website via Manage Bookings. If you wish to contact our Guest Contact Centre to change your flights, your new fare will be at GCC fare levels, which may be higher than internet fares. Any other changes to your flight (e.g. changes to routing) are not permitted and will be treated as a cancellation. NAME CHANGES: Changes to the name of the guest(s) on the booking can be made at any time up to 24 hours after the flights scheduled departure time through the GCC. Guests' names can only be changed where none of the flights on the booking have been flown. The applicable name change fee will be the fee published on our website at the time you make your request. CANCELLATIONS: You can cancel your flight up to 24 hours after the flight's scheduled departure time for a fee. If you used our website or mobile application to book your flight, you can cancel your flight online or via the application up to 60 mins prior to your flights scheduled departure time, so long as you have not checked in already. Alternatively, you can cancel your flight by contacting the Guest Contact Centre (GCC) up to 24 hours after your flight's scheduled departure time, as long as you were not checked in for that flight. If you are already checked in for your flight, then you will not be eligible to cancel that flight. CANCELLATIONS MADE VIA THE WEBSITE, OR MOBILE APPLICATION: A fee will apply if you cancel your fare online or via our mobile application. The applicable cancellation fee will be the fee published on our website on the date that you cancel your flight. A higher fee will apply if your fare is for an international flight. Our current cancellation fees are listed at www.virginaustralia.com/fees. CANCELLATIONS MADE THROUGH THE GCC: Cancellations through the GCC will incur a higher fee than cancellations made online or via our mobile application. The applicable cancellation fee will be the fee published on our website on the date you cancel your flight. A higher fee will apply if your fare relates to an international flight. Cancellation fees will be charged in the currency applicable to your fare. Our current cancellation fees are listed at www.virginaustralia.com/fees. REFUNDS: Refunds are not available for all forms of payment. They can only be requested by contacting the GCC or by emailing your booking reference number, the name of the guest(s), and flight dates to reservations@virginaustralia.com. Refunds are not available if you booked your flight with Velocity Points or with a credit from a previous flight. If you are eligible for this option, you can contact the GCC and elect to receive a refund in the same form as the original form of payment, less an administrative fee. The applicable administrative fee will be the fee published on our website at the time that you make your request. A higher fee will apply if your fare relates to an international flight. The applicable fee applies per guest, per cancellation. Our current fees are listed on our website at www.virginaustralia.com/fees. Where you have paid by cash or EFTPOS, the refund will be directly deposited into your nominated Australian or New Zealand bank account. Where PayPal was used as a form of payment, the refunded amount will be transferred back into your PayPal account, and will either be forwarded onto the bank account or credit card from which original payment was taken. CREDIT: If you wish to cancel your flight, you may obtain a credit. Credits are available for all forms of payment and are available online via Manage Bookings or by contacting the GCC. The credit must be used within 12 months from the date that you purchased your flight and can only be used on the Virgin Australia domestic or international short haul networks. If you elect to receive a credit, you cannot subsequently apply for a refund. To book a new flight using your credit, you must contact the GCC. Your new fare may be more expensive than the original fare. If you booked your flight using Velocity Points, you can only obtain a credit. You cannot obtain a refund. BOOK AND HOLD: 'Book and Hold' is not available for Flexi fares. Payment is required at the time of booking. NO SHOW/LATE CANCELLATION: If you do not fly, and do not notify Virgin Australia within 24 hours after your flight's scheduled departure time, you will forfeit any fare paid and/or your Velocity Points (as applicable). If you check in, but do not fly, you will not be eligible for a refund, credit or flight changes. OTHER IMPORTANT FARE RULES: This fare is only applicable origin to destination. En-route stopovers are not permitted. CURRENCY: For international travel, the currency in which you made your original booking will apply to any changes or cancellations you make. At any stage during check-in, boarding, or during or after your flight, all guests including children may be required to produce ID, along with this itinerary.
