WHY A WORKSHOP ON FACILITATION? Todays organizations rely less and less on the work of individuals. Instead, most of the work is accomplished by groups or teams. In the Leading Groups to Solutions Workshop, participants learn how to guide team members as they solve problems, develop plans, organize tasks, and make decisions via group collaboration, compromise, and communication. Facilitation Defined
A neutral process of effectively serving and coordinating the problem-solving activities of a team, and helping them define and achieve common objectives, while maintaining a balance between task and relationship issues. Facilitation is about optimizing the involvement of all participants. An effective facilitator serves and reflects the will of the group and doesnt over-control choices and procedures. A facilitator helps a group explore issues and sensitive topics that individual members may avoid or pass over. PARTICIPANTS WILL LEARN HOW TO: Improve communications among team members. Maximize contributions through capitalizing on the strengths and minimizing the limitations of team members. Set objectives and focus efforts on the teams and the organizations plans and initiatives. LEARNING METHODS The Leading Groups to Solutions Workshop is offered in a variety of workshop delivery options including live classroom, virtual classroom, or web-based programs. The length of the course is flexible and depends largely on the delivery method chosen. Experienced CMOE facilitators lead workshops from any location of your choosing. We also offer a Train-the-Trainer workshop in which we teach in-house trainers the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver The Leading Groups to Solutions Workshop at any time. Clients that choose this option simply purchase the participant materials from CMOE on an as-needed basis once their trainer is certified to teach the program.
