FAISALABAD WASTE MANAGEMENT COMPANY JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Reports To: General Manager Operations Managing Director

Supervises Operations Department Team Key Responsibilities 1. Development and analysis of integrated waste management systems for public and private sector clients 2. Managing efficiently waste Generation, Collection, Storage, Transfer/ Transportation, resource recovery, treatment and disposal 3. Make sure adequate temporary storage capacity by placement of containers and waste bins and their timely lifting 4. Managing manual sweeping and mechanized sweeping in the designated areas 5. Ensure door to door collection system is in place in the selected areas of jurisdiction 6. Mechanical washing of squares/streets/walkways etc. 7. Ensure the process of establishment of hydrants at appropriate points 8. Coordination with concerned departments and ensure commencement of civil works, establishment of landfill and other facilities within the given timeline 9. Coordinate with the concerned department for timely procurement of land for construction of transfer stations 10. Liaise with the consultants to obtain landfill design within the given time schedule 11. Coordinate with concerned department for timely start of Prequalification of construction firms and award of contract 12. Manage the Construction/renovation of waste enclosures/Transfer Stations. 13. Efficiently monitor SWM operations of the contractors of FWMC 14. Monitoring SWM operations through video wall 15. Contractors' monitoring through Third Party Validation (TPV) 16. Ensure smooth functioning of complaint Re-dressal System

17. Ensure preparation, implementation and monitoring of SWM plans for special occasions 18. Implementation of Hospital Waste Management Plan 19. Implementation of Construction & Demolition Waste Management Plan 20. Implementation of Industrial waste Management Plan 21. Supervise the study on recycling and reuse of waste in Faisalabad through consultant 22. Supervise the study on mainstreaming of SWM operations of private housing societies 23. Assist MD to explore efficient waste disposal options 24. Business development and client relationship building 25. Mentoring of junior and intermediate employees Qualifications and Experience: Masters in Engineering/Sciences (Environment, Civil or Mechanical). Additional qualification in management sciences will be an asset. Professional experience of at least 8-10 years or more in field operations; preferably in waste management, urban infrastructure, environmental practices and/or industrial management. Must have hands on experience in field operations, project development, fieldwork coordination, multi-faceted management project management etc Exceptional technical writing, presentation and compliance skills Effective interpersonal, strong verbal and written communication skills Age Maximum 50 years
