The Development Status, Experience and Policies of China on Vocational Education

To my fellow colleagues, ladies and gentlemen: A good morning to everyone! I am very pleased to have the opportunity to attend this forum. Following the arrangement of this meeting, I will be giving everyone a brief report on the major progress China has had in recent years regarding Vocational Education, our development train of thought, the deepening of cooperation on Vocational Education in the Asia-Pacific region and other issues.

Distinguished delegates, the impact of the international financial crisis on the world has not yet fully subsided, the recovery of the world economy is an arduous process, the youth employment situation remains grim. We need to develop vocational education as an important measure to cope with the crisis and meet the challenges of boosting economic transformation and upgrading, and promote higher quality employment. I believe that if we work together closely, vocational education would have a better and brighter tomorrow!
