Michael Jacobsson of the FWRC recently made a presenta on on SRCEs Energy Saver Blacks at the ACS Fall Rubber Division Mee ng in Cleveland. These are surface treated carbon blacks made at the Addis plant that provide a be er fuel mileage in the res they are compounded into. All the major re manufacturers are currently evalua ng these new carbon blacks with several already performing re tests. The paper presented at ACS was published in NovemberinRubberandPlas cNews.

Joint Research between SRCE and UTA (University of Texas at Arlington) was recently published in the Journal of Physical Chemistry Le ers (Photocataly cally Prepared Metal NanoclusterOxide SemiconductorCarbon Nanocomposite Electrodes for Driving Mul electron Transfer) and made the cover of the journal. Willy Lin and David Roberts at the FWRC have been instrumental in producing these fuel cell catalyst materials. They currently are preparing samples for evalua on by General Motors in their development of fuelcelldrivenautomobiles.
