OPC District 9 was opened in December 2008 with managing of PRE-ART patients, and started to provide ARV since March 2009. From December 2008 to Sep 2011, OPC D9 received technical support and finance support from MDM France Since Oct 2011 to the present, OPC is fully supported by USAID/FHI 360. With the technical supports from HAIVN at the beginning, after that HAIVN handed over to FHI 360 to continue providing technical support for OPC D9 as agreement from PAC History District 9 is a urban district of HCM city with the population is around 263,486 residents and the number of PLHIV is 762 managed in district and commune level. OPC D9 district is next to other districts such as D2, Thu Duc, Binh Duong and Dong Nai province, so there are many patients from these districts have been registered in OPC D9. CD4 testing is available since OPC D9 starting ART services, and viral load service is available since 2009. TB Gene Xpert was available since late of 2012 and OPC started to refer suspected TB patients to D9 DTU (about 3,5 km from OPC) for Gene Expert testing since 2013. Recently, the OPC has treated 29 patients with 2nd line ART among over 643 patients current on ART. HIVQual has been implemented in D 9 OPC since Quarter 2 of 2012.
