Conduct tension test on mild steel specimen and determine modulus of elasticity, yield stress, ultimate stress, actual, normal breaking stress, percentage of elongation and percentage reduction in area. (100)

2. Conduct an experiment to determine Youngs modulus of given mild steel specimen and draw its stress-strain characteristics curves. Also calculate percentage of elongation and percentage reduction in area. (100)

3. Conduct an experiment to determine Brinnel hardness number of the given specimen. (100)

4. Perform an experiment to determine Rockwell hardness number of the given material. (100)

5. Carry out an experiment to determine modulus of rigidity and shear stress of the mild steel rod. (100)

6. Conduct torsion test on the given mild steel specimen and determine its rigidity modulus. (100)

7. Carry out compression test on open coiled helical spring and determine its Stiffness and rigidity modulus. Also compute maximum energy stored in the spring. (100)

8. Carry out tension test on close coiled helical spring and determine its stiffness and rigidity modulus. Also compute maximum energy stored in the spring. (100)

9. Perform a flexure test to determine Youngs modulus of the given rectangular mild steel beam. (100)

10. (i) Find the impact strength of the given mild steel specimen by conducting izod impact test (ii) Find the double shear strength of the given mild steel specimen. (100)

11. (i) Find the impact strength of the given mild steel specimen by conducting izod impact test (ii) Find the double shear strength of the given aluminium specimen. (100)

12. (i) Find the impact strength of the given mild steel specimen by conducting charpy impact test (ii) Find the double shear strength of the given aluminium rod. (100)

13. (i) Find the impact strength of the given mild steel specimen by conducting izod impact test. (ii) Find the double shear strength of the given mild steel rod. (100)

14. Perform heat treatment tempering on the given specimen and determine Rockwell Hardness number (i) before tempering (ii) after tempering (100)

15. Determine the impact strength of unhardened and quenched steel specimens. (100)

16. Determine the hardness of unhardened and quenched mild steel specimens by conducting Rockwell hardness test. . (100)

17. Determine the hardness of unhardened and quenched deep case hardened steel specimens by conducting Rockwell hardness test. . (100)

18. Carry out an experiment with the given close coiled helical spring and calculate the maximum strain energy stored in the spring. (100)

19. Perform an experiment with the given open coiled helical spring and calculate the maximum strain energy stored in the spring. (100)

20. Conduct an experiment to determine the modulus of elasticity of rectangular steel Beam. (100)
