Canadians first saw the Nestl name on canned milk products imported from Europe in 1887. Manufacturing began in Canada in 1918 with the purchase of a small milk factory in Chesterville, Ontario. Four years later, the company was incorporated as Nestl's Food Company of Canada Limited. Today, Nestl in Canada employs approximately 3,600 people in 21 manufacturing, sales and distribution sites across the country, with the home office located in North York, Ontario. Employee Volunteers The Nestl Cares Employee Volunteer Program

Employees of Nestl Canada are making a difference in their communities by bringing the Good Food, Good Life philosophy to their neighbourhoods through their volunteer efforts. To recognize these efforts, Nestl Canada launched the Nestl Cares Employee Volunteer Program in 2004, which provides a financial grant in the name of an employee who volunteers their time to a registered charity. These Good Food, Good Life Ambassadors are making a difference, and Nestl Canada is proud to have them on our team. Food Banks Employee Volunteer Day Nestl Canada is an active member of the community and a proud supporter of Food Banks Canada. In recognition of this partnership, employees are given time off from their job to volunteer at a local food bank. Employees also volunteer in various capacities with some of our partners on national and local levels, further enhancing our communities and our lives.
