North is a team of highly spirited individuals. The energy & passion that
each member of the team brings to the forefront has to be seen to be
believed. The team has taken up all the business challenges head on and
delivered great results. The team has very enterprising set of Managers,
Officers and committed individuals who has been instrumental in driving
the growth in sales, employee/customer engagement needs.

I consider it to be an honor & privilege to be associated with the North


team and be a part of the dream of reaching the Rs.200crores turnover
landmark.

This Newsletter tries to capture some of the key highlights/contributions


of our team members that have gone to create the North success story.
This is a first time initiative at the Branch level and would request all team
members to give their feedback & contributions (for next) Newsletter to
Manpreet.
HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

Total combined SSR/TSP sessions held in 7 locations between 7th to 26th Aug and was
attended by SSR-161 TSP-47 along with respective SOs & ASMs. From the Branch
PS attended all the sessions while Manpreet joined in 3 locations and Bhisham &
Suresh were present in Delhi & Ghaziabad.

DDI Training leadership held on 3rd aug and attended by 10 participants.

Advanced Excel two day training was on 17th & 18th Aug. Both Branch as well as
Field participated in the same.

FY’09 Best SO/ASM


STOCKIST CONSOLDATION & IRIS INSTALLATION -Successful carried out by
the team.

IRIS installation at 29 stockiest’s were pending end of July’09 and the team
completed the same by 11th Aug’09-3 days ahead of deadline

For the first time 100% sync happened on 26th Aug’09 for the entire North

It was a great team effort with SO, (A)SMs being supported by the Kusum, Atul &
Bhisham from the Branch.

Naveen Srivastava, Dehradun SO met with an accident during the installation but
still was on job till the completion.

In Varanasi territory Power failure is the major concern but Stockists did not stop
and went almost 5 odd kms away from their places to cyber to get that done.

Management Trainee

Neha will work under Delhi ASM Amit Singh for her ASM stint for 5 weeks-Sep/Oct

Annual Conference

During Annual Conference Bhisham Dhingra bagged Second prize for his
presentation and Amit Singh bagged Third prize.

Jitender Singh Jaipur-SO shared his Complan success story for 5 mins amongst
distinguished guests and all India participants.

Customer Delight & Building Brand Goodwill

Same day customer complaint on HTK is addressed by Sales Officer Kapil Rana.

Prompt response by these Sales Team members to consumer complaints and how it
can be leveraged into building consumer goodwill for our brands is very heartening.

Mr. Govinda Pant (Consumer) “thanks for changing the ketchup sauce within 24
hrs,i really want to appreciate your concern for changing my ketchup in such a fast
pace, it makes us more loyal about the company Heinz and not to mention that your
staff is extremely hospitable”.

In the words of V. Mohan “My special appreciation to all of you for handling this
complaint in a professional manner expeditiously”.
In the words of Stan Baptista “Many thanks for the prompt follow up by the branch
and the field team.”

Ethics & Compliance

North is the first Branch to accomplish the target of reaching out to NMS & MS on
Corporate Governance, Ethics, Compliance. Presentation was prepared by Manpreet
in Hindi language which was very well rolled out to the team.

Employee & Customer Welfare Measures

Info on Swine Flu Shared by Manpreet with team including Management staff &
Non-management staff on awareness on the symptoms and cure of Swine flu

Prepared an exigency plan for the Branch, involved FF & OS

Speed Collection @Accounts Team

What is Speed Collection

DAY 1 clearing. This effectively means that cheques deposited on Monday evening
would be credited to our account on Wednesday morning. (cheque deposit date is
excluded while calculating the days).

How it will work:-

• No impact on local clearing


• HSBC collect outstation cheques from the CFA and sending these cheques to
HSBC-Delhi clearing location.
• Speed clearing operates in a single location. The cheques would not be
physically sent to the respective bank branches. They would be electronically
cleared. Incidentally the Branch Manager of the Bank may not even be aware
that cheque has been sent for clearing.

What we have done:-

• First we checked whether each stockist’s bank is participating in speed


clearing or not. We observed that except three customers all stockist’s bank
are under speed clearing process.
• Since it was critical that these cheques hit in stockist’s accounts immediately
after the cheque is issued therefore We intimated every ASM’s and SO’s to
brief this process to the stockist.
