Due dates and fines
Books are checked out to you for a limited period to ensure that the book is
accessible to all. If you would like to check out a book for longer you can renew it, as
long as nobody has requested it. Books that have been requested by another user will
have to be returned. You will be fined for books that are not returned or renewed by
the due date. This is to encourage you to return the book.
We will send an email 24 hours before your books are due back as a reminder, but it is
your responsibility to return or renew books by the due date.
You can renew books by:
Logging on to the library catalogue (you will need your Account ID and PIN) before
the book is due back;
Telephoning the University Library or Learning Resources Centres even if the book
is overdue;
Visiting the University Library or Learning Resources Centres with your library card.
*Please note that if you are off campus you will be required to enter your username
and password to access this page.
