COMMENTS FROM DR. S.K.

SINGH
1. Send the excel file of Design and Material Statement 2. Replace the Stoneware pipe by Double Wall Corrugated Duct (DWC) pipe 3. Population Projection Arithmetical Progression Method: Increment in population per decade should be taken as 36219. Hence the population of 2045 will comes to 104833 + 36219*3.4 = 2,27,977 4. Why we take the mean of population calculated from the three different methods 5. Population for CREDAI should not be taken into account as the UIT made it mandatory for all GH societies to have their own STP and reuse their treated waste in their premises 6. Dr. S.K. Singh suggested to use Logistic Curve Method for the population projection 7. Remove the table for L.C.C. Table 6.3 8. Use the advanced SBR technology so to have minimum electrical requirement 9. Why we have taken the capacity of 10 MLD in phase 1 for STP near existing STP when 4 MLD STP already exist. Hence we have to do the calculation for 6 MLD capacity STP near existing STP. 10. In chapter 6, para 6.5.2 : Treatment Philosophy , Dr. Singh suggested as the primary treated sewage shall be taken into the SBR Basins with all required necessary equipments. 11. Replace the diffusors with surface aerators 12. Report should not contain any name of Company (For eg. SFC Decanters etc.) 13. Fill the blank tables on page 69 71 (Design may be changed as per the technology provider) 14. Page 72 , para 6.8.1 : Scope of supply, schedule of exclusions, termination points should be removed as it is not in the scope of WAPCOS to provide the accessories. 15. Annexure 7.1 Should be change as the STP near Existing STP should be designed for additional 6 MLD capacity instead10 MLD capacity 16. IPS should be replaced by Lift station, continuous lifting is not required water firstly should be filled to some level in sump well and then it will be pumped by a vertical pump 17. Plate 6.5, why the details of main gate is provided.. there is no necessity for this

18. Plate 5.2, cement conc 1:6:12, this grade doesnt exist. Also only aggregates are required without cement and sand 19. Annexure 7.4 , IPS 01 at node 662, design should be revised as per the frictional loss calculations and also the pipe between the node 662 and 672 will be designed for the same population as there at node 662 as the sewage is flowing under pressure from 662672 and no population is added b/t these nodes also the node 672 will be designed as a receiving chamber ( depth should be high) as the water is falling with some velocity in the receiving chamber and should not scour the settled sludge in receiving chamber. 20. Node numbering should be done as per the zoning. Also the nodes for the sewer to be replaced should not be changed and should be kept as taken by Dr. S. K. Singh 21. The proposed sewerage system should be designed as per the levels of the old sewerage system as per the S.K. Singh design to avoid the misfit of the sewer connection lines 22. In the design statement the replaced pipe should be clearly marked with the dia and type of existing pipe and dia and type of pipe newly replaced. 23. The drawings for precast Manholes is not there. 24. The treated water from STP cannot be used for recharging of Ground Water, it can be proposed for lawns, parks and agricultural purposes only 25. In the design statement the table should be revised and should be as below:
