American instructions (c) crochetroo Leaving a 4inch thread join make 8ch and join with a sl st to form a ring. Fan 1 Row 1. Into loop work: (1sc 2ch) counts as first dc, 13 dc (14 in all) TURN. Row 2. Work (1sc 2ch) into first dc, work 1ch 1dc into each dc of row 1. (= 14dc and 13 1ch spaces) TURN Row 3. Working into 1 chain space of row 2, make (1sc, 2ch, 1sc) 10 times. (This forms a picot). Into the next (11th space) work 1sc, then 5ch, skip 3 spaces and work 1sc into 2nd ch of first dc post of row 2. TURN. (This completes fan 1)

Fan 2 Row 4. Into 5ch space work (1sc 2ch) counts as first dc, 13 dc (14 in all) then skip 1 picot of 3rd row and then 1sc into next picot 2ch space TURN. Row 5. This is now the 7th from the left or 4th from the right. TURN Row 9. (Same as row 3) Working into 1ch space of row 5 work (1sc, 2ch, 1sc) 10 times. (This forms a picot). Into the next (11th space) work 1sc, then 5ch , skip 3 spaces and work 1sc into 2nd ch of first dc post of previous row. (This completes fan 3) TURN. Continue in this way until you have made 8 fans. On last row make a picot in all 13 spaces, then secure with 1sc into the 7th picot of row 3 of fan 6. This is now the 7th from

the left or fourth from the right. Cut thread and weave in end. To make a tassel cut 5 threads each 4inches long. Fold in half and loop through starting loop. I include the beginning thread with this. I then spray starch and iron to make stiff.

Size 10 thread Tan & Cup Color Size 6 Hook , Small amount of Fiberfill stuffing, stitch marker Note: You will be doing continous rounds so you need to mark each round Cup Ch 2 , 6 sc in second ch from hook

(1) 2 sc in each sc around (2) 2 sc in 1, sc in next rep around (3) 2 sc in 1, sc in next 2 rep around (4-8) Sc around at end of rw 8 slip stitch to first sc Chain 100 Fasten off Make another cup join the chain you made to top of second cup Handle Ch 4, Sc in second ch for hook & in next 2 chains turn (1-8) Ch 1, sc in each sc across turn At end of rw 8 sc the long ends together Fasten off & leave a tail to sew to cup Tea (will be sewn into cup) W / tan Ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook (1) 2 sc in each around (2) 2 sc in 1, sc in 1 rep around (3) 2 sc in 1, sc in next 2 rep around Switch to cup color (4) Sc around ,slip stitch to first sc, now slip stitch this to inside loops only of last rw on cup Stuff as you go

Materials: Size 10 Thread Size 7 steel hook (1.65mm) Needle (to weave in end) Start: Leaving a 3 to 4 inch tail Ch87. Heart #1: 5 treble crochet in 4th chain from hook, 1 dc in next chain, 1 hdc in next chain, 1 sc in next chain and Ch2. Turn so your working on other side of chain, 1 sc in same st as first sc. (the ch2 should be overlapping the chains left unused), 1 hdc in next chain, 1 dc in next chain, 5 treble crochet in next chain, ch3, sl st in same chain as trebles. Heart #2: Ch7, 5 treble crochet in 4th chain from hook, 1 dc in next chain, 1 hdc in next chain, 1 sc in next chain and ch2.

Turn so you are working on other side of chain, 1 sc in same st as first sc (the ch2 should be overlapping previous heart), 1 hdc in next chain, 1 dc in next chain, 5 treble crochet in next chain, ch3 and sl st in same chain as trebles. Hearts #3 & #4: Repeat Heart #2 two times for Hearts 3 and 4. Finish off and weave in end. Note: If you want more hearts just keep repeating Heart #2. Tassel: Cut 10 8 or 6 pieces of thread. Stick hook in first chain made (of ch87). Fold strands of thread in half onto hook and pull up a loop with the strands into chain. Pull loose strands through loop (sneaking in tail) and pull taut. Make a knot so tassel stays in place. Theres a diagram here. I know its from my other bookmark, but I figured it would help give you an idea.

Flower 1: Rnd 1: Ch2, 4 sc in 2nd chain from hook, turn so youre working in other side of same chain, 4 sc in same chain, join with sl st to first sc. (8sc) Copyright to champygirl on January 6, 2010

Materials: Size 10 thread in two different colors (flower color and stem color) Size 7 steel hook (1.65mm) Needle (to weave in ends) Finish Size: About 31inches long Different Stitches: Picot: Ch2, sl st in last dc made.

Note: Do not finish off until noted to. Directions: Loop: With flower color ch21, sl st in 2nd chain from hook and in each of the next 18 chains, Fold the 19 sl sts just made in half, sl st in next chain and first sl st (this will form your loop).

Rnd 2: [Ch2, sl st in next sc] Do this 7 times, ch2 and sl st in joining sl st of Rnd 1. (8sl sts, 8-ch2s) Flower 2-5: Repeat directions for Flower 1 for Flowers 2 thru 5. You should now have 5 flowers made; the following instructions are worked into Flower 5. Ch1, sl st in same chain as sc working in between top two sc. Ch7, sl st in 7tn chain from hook (creating a loop to work leaf into), finish off and weave in ends. Leaf: Join stem color with sl st to Ch7 loop, ch1, (1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, picot, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc) all in same ch7 loop, sl st in same sl st that was used to form ch7 loop. Stem: Ch225, finish off leaving a 5inch tail. Weave in tail on leaf. Note: If you feel the bookmark is too long, just have a hardback or paperback book handy and as you chain check if its at a length you like.

Tassel: Cut 4-10inch strands of thread in stem color and then cut 4 strands in the flower color. Insert hook into last chain made, fold pieces of thread in half over hook, pull strands and hook through chain to form a loop, take hook out of loop and pull loose ends through loop and pull taut. Make a knot to secure tassel (optional). Trim tassel to make sure its even or to desired length. For use: The Stem Part goes inside the book. The Flower part lies on the cover of the book towards the top. Pull tassel through loop help keep bookmark in place.

Materials: Size 10 thread Size 7 steel hook (1.65) Needle (to weave in ends) Finish Size: 11 h x 5/8w

Directions: Side 1 circles: C1: Ch3, 12 dc in 3rd chain from hook, join with sl st to first dc. (12dc) C2: Ch3, 6 dc in 3rd chain from hook, turn so you are working on the other side of the same chain, 6 dc in same chain, join with sl st to first dc. (12dc) Repeat C2 two times. Tail: Ch73. Side 2 circles: C1: 6 dc in 3rd chain from hook, turn so you are working on the other side of the same chain, 6 dc in same chain, join with sl st to first dc. (12dc) Repeat C2 (of Side 1 circles) 3 times. Finish off and weave in ends.

Directions: Stem: Part 1: With ca leaving a 4 to 5 inch tail ch25, sl st in 5th chain from hook, [ch25, turn chain (so back side of the chain it facing you), sl st in 5th chain from hook] Do this 3 times, ch24. (4 leafs that alternate and 104 chains) Note: It may take a couple tries to get the leaves right. Part 2: 6 dc in 3rd chain from hook, join with sl st to first dc. (6dc) Part 3: Ch1, 2 sc in each of the 6 dc, join with sl st to first sc. (12sc) (12sc) Finish off and weave in end. Flower: Rnd 1: Join cb with a sc to any sc from part 3 (of stem), 1 sc in each of the next 11 sc, join with sl st to first sc. (12sc) Fold flower flat. Rnd 2: Working through both sides of the flower work 6 sc in back loops only (this should leave the front loops on both sides free). (6 sc) Note: Do not work into front loops left free until Rnd 4. On Rnd 3 you will be working into the 6sc you just made.
