TAIWAN Focused
Taipei
Danshui In July ten Students from five different countries attended our
training time. One team went out teaching in Asia, while the
PengHu other team focused on Taiwan. Here is an update on our
ShenKeng exciting summer traveling and teaching throughout Taiwan!
Our team of four SBS graduates and two staff taught Inductive
PingTung Bible study Seminars and Bible Overview classes in a variety of
Toufen settings. Teaching in 10 different churches, a coffee bar ministry and a prison!
They learned to adapt the Bible to many different audiences including adults,
Philippines youth, university students, Christian and non-Christians! In the south of Taiwan,
the team was able to teach and refresh believers in a church burdened with
volunteers and workers for local typhoon relief efforts. Not only that, but the
students also traveled to the SBS Philippines and taught in the 3rd Quarter SBS!
Following are updates from the team:
(…Continued) Titus outreach was one of the most difficult
times of my life, but I have to believe Jesus’ words, that she
who loses her life will find it. God used me to teach, but in that
time he taught me, and I will never be the same. -HR
Why Do We Teach?
There is nothing more fulfilling, nothing more enjoyable, and nothing
as satisfying as obeying God. Why do we teach? Because He tells us
to, because He calls us to, because we understand the great
significance of the cross in our lives and can do nothing but love
Jesus, desiring to live lives that bring him glory. It is beyond all
comprehension and imagination to why He chooses to use us, but he
does, calling us to teach, no matter how tired, how unprepared, how
unqualified or any of the other excuses we give him, he uses us. And
it is only when we let him use us and we join in the great joy, privilege
and honor of teaching that we are blessed to see people learn, be
challenged and grow in their Biblical foundations. Thank you Titus
Taiwan for an amazing outreach. -JG
