THE COMPANY
Since 1983 Barton has been a subsidiary of Caparo Industries plc, a broad based group with interests in engineering and steel. Barton Engineering is a division of Caparo Precision Tubes Ltd. Operations have been transferred to the Hub Le Bas site in the West Midlands.
Caparo Group Ltd is a private U.K. holding company set up in 1978 specialising principally in the manufacture and supply of steel based consumable products to industry. During the 1980s a large number of industrial subsidiaries were acquired or developed organically, both in the U.K. and in the U.S.A., under the sub-grouping of Caparo Industries Plc, which was listed on the London Stock Exchange until it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Caparo Group Ltd in 1991. In addition to the industrial companies listed below, the group owns commercial properties in Londons West End, the luxury Osborne Hotel in Torquay and minority investments in quoted companies in the U.K. and North America.

Products listed in this brochure are either manufactured by Barton Engineering under a certified ISO 9000 system, or are manufactured by our suppliers under a certified ISO system or have their quality assured to the same level by rigorous inspection at Barton Engineering. ISO 9000 systems involve a complete set of working practices, disciplines and procedures - implemented at each stage of the manufacturing programme, from raw material inspection through to final despatch. As a result, all Barton products satisfy a uniform standard of quality and safety.

Hub Le Bas share the same site as BARTON ENGINEERING at Bilston, Wolverhampton in the West Midlands. Each lift BS 31 Class 2 finish comprising the stated BLACK ENAMELLED 112 number of individual INSIDE & OUTSIDE 2 bundles measuring 3.75 metre lengths approximately 45-50 centimetres in diameter Also available in 3000m lengths and 3.75 metres long. Quick-Fix Trunking THE BARTON CABLE TRUNKING RANGE

QUICK-FIX RANGE (QF)

This is the most popular range of trunking. It features a rapid and fool proof method for securing the lid, by simply twisting turnbuckles through 90 degrees. These lock the lid in place, providing full earth continuity between body and lid. The range is manufactured from high quality galvanised steel as standard.
MULTI COMPARTMENT TRUNKING

LIGHTING TRUNKING (LT)

The range of lighting trunking has a 50 x 50mm body section with either a white PVC or steel snap-in lid. Fittings are common to the Quick-Fix range, providing complete compatability between cable and lighting trunking. The standard finish is high quality galvanised steel.
Direction arrows - Indicates clearly that turnbuckle is correctly positioned. Assists installer quality inspection.
QUICK-FIX
Recessed turnbuckle Provides good aesthetic appearance.
Turnbuckle lid fixing A simple 14 turn locks or unlocks the lid. Allows easy filling and removal, still providing secure fixing. Integral Couplers - Easy and quick attachment to trunking with no additional couplers necessary.
Good scraping earth Provides good earth continuity between body and lid, ensuring safety. Plunged and pierced tapped holes on couplers and fillings - Single screw fixing saves time - Fixing merely requires a screwdriver. Fixing screws supplied with each fitting No additional items to order. The turnbuckle can be used to secure lids on cut lengths of trunking. Return edge - Increased rigidity. Copper Earth Link available if required.
