%he DGIV can be con&ig"red &or short or 'er- long trips "sing di&&erent )2 and &"el settings. %his is done 1ith the DG/con&ig.e(e program. I& -o" ha'e deleted the des0top shortc"t -o" can &ind this program in -o"r )rbiter/Bo"nd/DeltaGliderIV &older. %his program allo1s -o" also to con&ig"re engine po1er and e&&ects settings.

I6+58T09T: 6ngine po1er+ )2 reser'e and &"el reser'e are sa'ed and reloaded &rom each scenario. #hen -o" load a scenario+ -o"r DGIV 1ill "se the settings &rom that scenario and the settings made 1ith the DG/con&ig.e(e program 1ill not be "sed. %o load -o"r ne1 con&ig"ration in the DGIV -o" m"st load the settings - this is done "sing the Iload settingI b"tton on the DGIV=s lo1er panel: load DG/con&ig.e(e setting b"tton on lo1er panel. 8o" can chec0 1hich settings -o"r DGIV has on the %echnical plate on the bottom panel. 7.0 - 3re1 sa&etIn the DeltagliderIV -o" m"st ta0e care o& cre1 aboard. e(cess G+ lac0 o& )2 reser'e or incorrect setting o& cabin=s atmosphere can 0ill -o"r cre1+ as can a bad re-entr- into the atmosphere or a gro"nd impact. @;cessi)e G: %he e&&ect o& too man- G=s on the bod- in real li&e mainl- depends on three parameters: 1. G 'ector ,negati'e G+ positi'e G. 2. G &orce 3. G d"ration %he DeltaGliderIV models all three parameters. %he- are acc"ratel- modeled to represent real e&&ects &rom G &orces. >igh G &orces 1ill damage -o"r cre1=s health and can e'en ca"se deathQ similarl-+ G &orces that are s"stained &or short periods o& time 1ill not be as harm&"l ,relati'el-. as the same &orces s"stained &or longer periods o& time. >o- G effects cause damage in real life: 5s blood drains into the lo1er parts o& the bod-+ it lea'es the brain 1itho"t o(-gen. %his can lead to IG-D)3I ,Gind"ced Doss )& 3onsio"sness.+ or e'en death i& the brain is depri'ed o& o(-gen long eno"gh. Cor an- gi'en age+ the Pilot 1ill be able to s"stain abo"t 3G more than the passengers in the DeltaGlider II beca"se o& his training. In addition+ since 'er- old or 'er- -o"ng people ha'e less abilit- to 1ithstand the e&&ects o& G &orce stress+ the age -o" select &or -o"r pilot 1ill determine his or her relati'e abilit- to resist G stress. 8o" can see belo1 ho1 the pilot and passengers react to G e&&ects in the DeltaGlider IV ,all cre1 and passengers on the DG/ are 1earing anti-G s"its to help manage G stress e&&ects.. %he data 1as collected &rom real-li&e in&ormationQ ho1e'er+ 0eep in mind that these graphs represent a'erages.
