One of the things that denes Humans from animals is the ability to appreciate Beauty. Pink & Purple Sunsets, Royal Blue skies, majestic mountains, Sparkling Snow, Clear Teal Green Waters, White Sandy beaches, lush green forests and more.

We try desperately to define ourselves by what surrounds us We base our understanding of beauty on the things we value, things we want, things we are jealous of in others. Things we SEE. Beauty is something that is MOSTLY SEEN - it has to do with shape, colors, hues, as we approach the beauty can more fully enrapture us with its texture, feel, temperature, its fragrance and aroma, its flavor, its sound, its melodies. INNER BEAUTY affects all those areas as well, but because the primary one by which we take in beauty is hidden from our physical eyes, it takes some time to discern it.

Its got to be more than just an outward allegiance in keeping the Law of God. He teaches that the primary aspect of righteousness was not outward expression but rather the inward matter of the heart.

Beauty Because We Are Created By God

Beauty Because We Are Children of God

The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Beauty is more than skin deep. One interesting thing is that the love of another person will often make us feel beautiful. When we have the love of a spouse or our family member we will feel accepted and better about ourselves. When there is a lack of love in our lives, we often feel alone and isolated and even depressed. That is one reason why people are often drawn to the Lord God. GOD IS LOVE It is what He is. No matter how alone we feel in this life we can always know that God is there for us and He loves us the way we are. Maybe today you are feeling alone and depressed. People have let you down in your life and you dont feel any inner beauty. Turn to God today. He thinks that you are His masterpiece and He loves you. Embrace Jesus Christ today.

Her name in Hebrew means, chaste, free from carnal connection; but by nature she was a most licentious woman. She was a voluptuary, with all the tawdry arts of a wanton woman. No name could have been more inappropriate for such a despised female. She is the most infamous woman of the Bible with no redeemable qualities. BAAL Worshipper, Priestess, Practiced sorcery, seductive, forceful personality, manipulative, controlling, deceitful, selfish,prideful, unrepentant, stealthy, relentless, scheming, dominating, covetous.

She had NO allegiance but to her own lust for pleasure and power. Even when her judgment was unavoidable, as Jehu, a man ordained by God to purge the land of those in defiance to Him, approached her castle, she went to her tower and did her hair and makeup!!!! WHY???? either in hopes of seducing Gods avenger or in pride to look beautiful as the dogs were tearing her to pieces! It didnt help one bit!

Here is a young Jewish girl, a young lady whose parents were dead, raised by her uncle and living in a culture that was counter to her upbringing. There was a beauty contest at the Kings Castle, and after a year of beauty treatments she won, and became the Queen of Persia. Unlike the beauty contests of today where a girl will win scholarship money and a platform to speak about a cause close to her heart for a year, Esther gained no special platform. Granted, riches abounded towards her and the title of Queen was hers, but not even her prestige could give her an audience with those who were in power (her husband) if she had a cause to bolster. And she did! She had to speak up against the planned genocide of her people. Her beauty got her in the door, but not even a years worth of beauty treatments could keep her from losing her life if the King wasnt happy with her unannounced/uninvited appearing at His Throne. She had for so long hidden her true identity and kept it secret. It wasnt until she returned to that Identity, that inner beauty and strength, the treasure that God deposited that she became a woman of power and authority, a woman with a true platform to speak and lead from. This wonderfully wise woman understood that at any moment her family was about to be tragically cut down. She recognized her husbands foolishness and contempt for the things of God. She knew of Davids exploits, she knew He would one day become King, she knew that He had the power to utterly destroy her husbands wealth. Even though her husband had received benefits from David and his men of war that were within the land, even though they had protected Nabals flocks and servants while within their vicinity, Nabal was not hospitable to David or his men. actually he was prideful, disrespectful, utterly contemptible and insulting. This did not bode well for Nabal...David was infuriated. He was on a war path and ready to slaughter every man of Nabals house by sunrise. Abigail heard the impending doom, she quickly and secretly went to David with Tons of food, and a tremendously wise and humble apology, fully recognizing David as the God ordained future king. Her wisdom, secured the lives of all men under Nabals authority, whether, servants or sons. Upon hearing the news, Nabals heart failed became like a stone (hmmm perhaps a heart attack) and 10 days later he died. David heard it and chose to make Abigail his wife. She accepted. If Proverbs instructs a young man about the kind of woman to seek and the kind to shun, it teaches my daughters the kind of women they should strive to be, by Gods grace. The world is reinforcing the model of Madam Folly. The popular movie stars, the glamorous models, the women who advertise--all are those whose moral life is sinful, and whose wiles and flattery are like that of Madam Folly. Girls are told that they can find approval by flaunting their bodies, by wearing provocative clothing, by putting on sensuous perfumes, by adorning their eyelids, and so on. The godly woman, Dame Wisdom, is not the model our young women are familiar with. The words of chapter 31 have a foreign ring, when we read, Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised (31:30). Dame Wisdom and Madam Folly are worthy of consideration by every man and woman who desires to be godly. Women are warned that it is possible for them to contribute to the spiritual downfall of a brother in Christ. Christian women are instructed not be preoccupied with outward adornment, but with inward character (I Tim. 2:9-10; I Peter 3:1-6). When Christian women are insensitive about their clothing and their conduct, they can cause a Christian brother to sin by tempting him in thought and action.

BOTH DAME WISDOM AND MADAM FOLLY ARE IDENTIFIED AS WAYS IN PROVERBS
There is no decision in life more important than the choice as to whom you will follow. Will you follow Dame Wisdom or Madam Folly? Will you choose to submit to Jesus Christ, or will you follow Satan? The way of wisdom is the way of faith. It involves trusting God to keep His word, to save you eternally and to bless you. The way of wisdom requires that you cease trusting in yourself and trust only in Jesus Christ for eternal life (Prov. 3:5-6; John 14:6). The way of wisdom requires discipline and self-denial. But it will bring peace, security and everlasting life.
Christian friend, Madam Folly frequently passes our way, calling to those who are making their paths straight (Prov. 9:15). She will focus our attention on the passing pleasures of sin, and will minimize the consequences. She will urge us to forget the future and live for the moment. We must not listen to her, for we are but strangers and pilgrims on the earth:
