CONFERENCE LOCATION
We greatly appreciate the staff at The Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel who have been working with us to accommodate all attending members. The Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel is conveniently located by some of LAs hottest attractions. Take this opportunity to explore the citys landmarks and attractions such as nearby Hollywood and Beverly Hills, or indulge yourself at the shops of Santa Monica Promenade or The Grove. The file is intuitive and will notify you of any mistakes. If you enter too many participants, it will highlight cells. If you have any questions about completing or submitting the registration file, please email registration@capbl.org. NOTE: Please note that the registration workbook must be submitted directly on our website at www.capbl.org. There will be an online form to submit registration file, chapter contact, and registration summary. Registration documents sent to registration@capbl.org will NOT be processed. NOTE: Any changes made to the Competitive Event Registration portion of the SBLC Registration excel file after March 12th will cost $5 per change (e.g. Change competitive event for a member).
HOTEL ROOMING
Input member information into the Hotel Rooming worksheet form in the SBLC registration excel file. In accordance with hotel regulation, there is a maximum of 4 students per room. If there are members who have registered for a quad room and there are less than 4 occupants in a room, members from other chapters will be placed in that room to meet the 4 person occupancy. If you have any further questions feel free to contact your state team at info@capbl.org. NOTE: Room conference rate cannot be guaranteed after Wednesday, March 5, 2014. An invoice will be sent to chapters for the difference.

CONFERENCE ORIENTATION
Conference orientation will be held at 4:00PM on Friday, March 28th in KENNEDY (NOTE: room is subject to change). Each chapter must send an adviser and/or a representative to attend this orientation, during which they will receive conference materials and a briefing of the conference.
PAYMENT
Payment is due in full to California PBL prior to the conference. All payments must be RECEIVED by Wednesday, March 5, 2014 for Early-Bird Registration; Wednesday, March 12, 2014 for Regular Registration; and Wednesday, March 19, 2014 for Late Registration Checks are payable to: California Phi Beta Lambda and mailed to: Jason Ishibashi California Phi Beta Lambda PO Box 6737 Fullerton, CA 92834 An invoice with a link for payment will be sent to the primary chapter contact indicated in the online registration form.
hapters should nominate a chapter Whos Who that will be recognized on stage during the Awards of Excellence Ceremony. Simply complete the information form in the SBLC Registration excel file. Additionally, one honoree from the state chapter will be selected for national recognition! All chapter Members of the Month must be submitted to info@capbl.org by Saturday, March 8, 2014. All questions regarding Whos Who and Members of the Month should be directed to the Director of Programs, Danielle Dayto, at danielle.dayto@capbl.org.
SBLC SCHOLARSHIP
California Phi Beta Lambda is proud to bring you the 2014 SBLC Scholarship. This scholarship recognizes outstanding members of California PBL who have demonstrated a passion for the organizations motto of Service, Education, and Progress. This is the sixth year California PBL has had the privilege of offering the SBLC Scholarship. The scholarship will grant winners a full registration package (includes conference registration and lodging). California PBL is pleased at the opportunity to recognize our leaders who have taken the initiative to better themselves through the organization. Complete the application which can be found on our website and be sure to include a copy of your resume and a short letter of recommendation from your chapter president/vice president or adviser. INAPPROPRIATE ATTIRE
For both men and women: Jewelry in visible body piercing, other than ears Denim or chambray fabric clothing of any kind (e.g. overalls, shorts, skirts, stretch or stirrup pants, exercise or bike shorts) Backless, see-through, tight-fitting, spaghetti straps, strapless, extremely short, or low-cut blouses/tops/dresses/skirts Sandals, athletic shoes, industrial work shoes, hiking boots, bare feet, or over-the-knee boots Athletic wear, including sneakers Hats or flannel fabric clothing Bolo ties Visible foundation garments
CASUAL ATTIRE may be worn for specified conference events. Cut-off jeans, spandex or Lycra garments, midriff
tops, and bathing suits are not appropriate casual attire. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times. For the Awards of Excellence Ceremony, it is appropriate to wear either the regular conference attire, or semiformal or formal wear. Many new fashions are not appropriate conference attire. Use common sense and be conservative rather than cutting-edge. If you have any doubt about the appropriateness of your attire, find something else to wear.
