In pairs, research what impact Immigration is having on Health and Social Care services. What are peoples attitudes?
Individual rights: the right to be respected, treated equally and not discriminated against, treated as an individual, treated in a dignified way, allowed privacy, protected from danger and harm, allowed access to information about themselves, be able to communicate using their preferred methods of communication and language, cared for in a way that meets their needs, takes account of their choices and protects them

The Effects of Discrimination


TASK1. Create a mood board on powerpoint to show representation of when individuals have experienced the 5 effects of discrimination using current and well known news examples. 2. Create a short written personal viewpoint to accompany your mood board, which expresses your own opinion of why people still experience these effects.

1. Marginalisation. 2. Disempowerment. 3. Low self-esteem and selfidentity. 4. Restricted opportunities. 5. Negative behaviours such as aggression or criminality.
