Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Emirates integrated Telecommunications, commonly known as du, is the second largest telecom operator in UAE after Elisalat. Established in the year 2006, the company has seen a steady rise to preference as more and more people appreciate their mobile services. The company launched its mobile services early February across UAE. Du aim was to obtain an increment of f 8 percent market share of mobile subscribers from the previous 22 percent by the end of 2009.stakeholders include UAE Federal Government-40%, TELECOM Investment-20% ,Mubadala Development Company-20% and the other 20 % owned by public shareholders. Before the launch of these services, the shareholders offered 20% of to share to IPOS while the Emirate banks and financial services managed these shares. In 2008, the company reported an increment of 1.88 mobile consumers over the last one year and an increase in revenue by 157 % .The Company has seen tremendous support and success over the past 4 years due to the customer loyalty. In January of this year, the company signed a contract with vodaphone, UKS biggest telecom company that allowed them to access UAE products and services n exchange of better voice and data roaming access when vodaphone customers visit the UAE. The visitors will have the chance to enjoy the extended network coverage and have access to du advanced network. The telecom organization is managed by CEO Osman Sultan. He holds an engineering Degree in and has often given conferences in regards to Mobile Telecom and the internet in Asian countries and electronic information services. He served as the President of Egyptian Co. for Mobile Services from 1998 and was the Chief Executive Officer of Mobinil at Telecommunications SAE. Later on he joined the France Telecom Group in the year 1983 and

held senior position in management that included in sales, marketing and customer services activities till 1994.Other major accomplishments include 'The Best Web Site-Legal Product' by the American Information Association in 1996 and 'Man of the Year' award by the Professional Electronic Information Services Community in France 1996. Service and products Emirate interpreted telecommunications (du) a variety of services including broadband connectivity, mobile telephony and IPTV services to both businesses and individuals. In addition, it provides up and downlink services for TV broadcasters .In a bid to keep up with the competition, the company launched its own mobile service with similar tariffs as those of Elisalat. Doing this eliminated price competition between both competitors Among those campaigns launched by du include Number Campaign ,pay by the second billing system, mobile TV and a prepaid plans recharge card where customers are offered a chance to redeem them for more credit time to both local and international calls. Also available as part of the service s the payment of bills using the online service portal.
