Mini Secretariat$ Sector 1/$ Chandigarh. 00000 List o: the 3artici3ants is 3laced at 9nne-ure F9G# 9t the outset, DULB 0elcomed the Chairman and all the 3artici3ants and stated that the 3roceedings o: ' nd meeting o: State Committee :or Slaughter Houses held on "'#&!#'&"3 0ere circulated to all the members# %o comments 0ere recei5ed# 9ll members o: the Committee con:irmed the minutes accordingly# 9genda 3oints 0ere discussed in detail and the :ollo0ing decisions 0ere ta<en/ "# ;t 0as intimated by the De3uty Director, 9nimal Husbandry De3artment, Haryana that S2C9Gs ha5e been :ormed in all the districts o: Haryana and are :unctioning 2re5iously S2C9 0as not :ormed in 2al0al district only# Ho0e5er, the same has been constituted and is :unctioning# '# ;t has been 3ointed out by many De3uty Commissioners that no :unds are a5ailable :or :unctioning o: S2C9s# 9nimal Husbandry De3artment has been as<ed to ta<e u3 the matter :or creating>gi5ing :unds to S2C9s :or their regular :unctioning# 3# ;t 0as also intimated by the De3uty Commissioners that no s3ace is a5ailable :or :unctioning o: S2C9s# ;t has been intimated by the 9nimal Husbandry De3artment that in this matter, decision has already been con5eyed that a s3ace 0ill be gi5en in 5eterinary hos3itals in all the districts :rom 0here the S2C9s 0ill :unction# )# Sh# ?#=amraD, 9dditional Director 4eneral o: 2olice, Haryana +O3erations, had also 3ointed out that a re3ort be ta<en :rom all the Munici3alities regarding 0or<ing o: illegal slaughter houses# $he list o: all such illegal slaughter houses :unctioning in the Munici3alities should be ta<en and be su33lied to the 2olice De3artment so that

necessary action can be initiated against these slaughter houses# A# ;n res3ect o: moderniHation o: meat sho3s, no re3ort>3ro3osal has been recei5ed :rom any district >MCs# ;t 0as desired by the Chairman that the re3ort should be ta<en :rom all the MCs and districts in this res3ect# 6# For moderniHation o: slaughter houses, e-ce3t Faridabad and 4urgaon, no D26 has been recei5ed so :ar# $he Chairman has desired that all the districts >MCs be as<ed to ta<e u3 this matter immediately and D26 :or moderniHation o: slaughter houses be submitted 0ithin "A days# !# $he Haryana State 2ollution Control Board is ready to :inance the cost o: E::luent $reatment 2lants +E$2s, to be 3ro5ided :or the slaughter houses, but so :ar, no D26 has been recei5ed :rom any MC :or installation o: E$2s >ta<ing :inancial assistance :rom HS2CB# .>Chairman has desired that all the D#C#s as 0ell as Commissioner o: Munici3al Cor3orations be as<ed to ta<e u3 the matter immediately and a re3ort in this res3ect should be ta<en 0ithin "A days# $he meeting ended 0ith a 5ote o: than<s to the Chair# &&&
