Paul is the founder of Emmaus Pastoral Counselling Services. He provides consulting and counselling for individuals, couples and families. Paul has completed the Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counselling from Wilfrid Laurier University and has graduated from the Internship program in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Interfaith Pastoral Counselling Centre in Kitchener. He also received Mediation Skills Training from the Lombard Mennonite Peace Centre. Paul is an Assistant Professor at Tyndale Seminary and is the co-ordinator of the Masters of Divinity, Counselling Major. Paul was ordained by the Anglican Church into parish ministry in 1979. He served parishes in Oshawa, Toronto, Stouffville, Richmond Hill and Pickering. He is now an honorary associate priest at St. Pauls on the Hill, Pickering.
Paul and Elizabeth also enjoy and value working together in co-therapy. They each bring unique gifts, training, experiences and perspectives into the counselling room. Their desire is to focus on providing the best care they can possibly give to those seeking their help. Paul & Elizabeth have worked together: - With individuals, couples and families to help resolve issues around communication, conflict, stress, parenting, bereavement, sexuality and addictions. 1. with churches helping congregations to process traumatic events, conflict and change 2. with organizations processing interpersonal relationships within institutional structure 3. with front-line care givers providing supervision and a safe place to debrief 4. Offering prayer and ministry to those who seek it
