DESIGN FEATURES
Full bore or Venturi reduced bore Welding ends, flanged ends or welding x flanged ends All forged steel body and trim Fire safe designed and antistatic device Ball trunnion-mounted in the body Blowout Proof Stem Double Piston effect seating (Bubble-tight seat seals) Metal -to-metal and/or soft ball composite seating Emergency sealant system for stem and seats Double block and bleed (DBB) Nickel plating, chrome plating and other coatings for trim Low operating torque
DISTINCTIVE DESIGN
Minimized bending strain
PSV Ball Valves have a solid forged ball with integral hubs (trunnions) placed closer to the valve centerline with a short protrusion and wide diameter on the body by two supports (upper and lower), the advantages are multiple: Ball loads are distributed over large surface areas of two self-lubricating bearings. This enables them to work under a low specific pressure thus reducing wear. Supports are at the valve centerline and very low bending loads are extended to the trunnion Trunnion thrust is directly applied to the valve body zones which are nearest to the pipe wall, minimizing bending loads on the valve body. The stem is separated from the ball, so trunnion loads are wholly transmitted to the valve body without affecting the stem. A pure operating torque is transmitted to the ball by the stem. Fig.1

OPTIONALS
1.Stem Extension Buried valves, valves installed underground or in areas that are inaccessible may be equipped with stem and auxiliary(drain, vent, sealant ) piping extensions. The valve and any stem extensions ( EH and AH) will be specified by the customer.
AH EH
2. Transition pieces or pups Sometimes transition pieces (or pups) are required for welding between the valve and the pipeline. Furnished in suitable lengths, and welded on site in accordance with existing standards. The transition piece length L is to be specified by the customer, including wall thickness and pipe specification.

NOTES: (1) Service covered by NACE MR-01-75 Code requirements (limited hardness). (2) Elastomeric seals are not permitted. (3) It is used for valves to be butt welded to high-strength pipelines. (4) ENP = Electroless Nickel and/or Chrome Plating. (5) Hard plating is needed when erosive phenomena are present. (6) Selection of gasket material is according to the following temperature ranges: Therban (HNBR) for T=-45 up to +175; Viton GF for T=-40 up to + 220; Nitrile ( NBR ) for T =- 29 up to + 130; Viton -( FPM ) for T=-20 up to + 220; PTFE for T =- 200 up to + 240; Nylon 12G for T =- 50 up to +120; Kel - F for T =- 250 up to + 150. ( 7 ) Nylon 12G is used for valves pressure ANSI600 ( 8 ) Seat insert made of PTFE reinforced with glass or graphite fiber is supplied on request . ( 9 ) Special elastomers are supplied on request for Crack on relief proof. (10) Spiral wound gasket (ANSI 316 + Graphite) is used for body seals. (11) PSV reserves the right to change the materials complying with specifications without any notice.

1) Reduced bore ball valves have the same face-to-face and end-to-end dimensions as full bore ball valves of the same pipe size (indicated by first of the double digits, while the second is the reduced bore size) 2) Valve size is as same as nominal pipe size. 3) Dimension(C) of a welding x flanged end valves is one half the sum of dimensions (C)of a welding end and a flanged end valve of the same size and pressure rating. 4) dimension and tolerances for flanges conform to ANSI B 16.5 or MSS SP-44. 5) Welding ends conform to ANSI B 31.8. and ANSI 16.25. It is up to the purchaser to specify welding end.
