ITHiKiTHi ESANDLENi!
Nkosi, IFAs amazing brand ambassadors, Desmond Dube and Mme Lillian Dube will be back once again to ensure that prizes are given away, crowds entertained and everything else runs as planned. We also heard through the grapevine that the Grammy Award winning Soweto Gospel Choir will be there to lift everyones spirits. All this for R50, only. There can be no Mass Rally without IFAs, therefore IFA has organised buses once again to transport IFAs from wherever they are in the country at discounted rates, to make it easy for IFAs to get to the event. All IFAs with a 2013 IFA Mass Rally ticket qualify for a discounted rate on limited luxury coaches to Johannesburg on a rst-come, rst-served basis. The bus departure and drop off points in each province will be communicated. The bus tickets are available from IFA Marketing Materials or RBMs and can also be bought on the IFA website (www.ifa.co.za). Therefore you better get ready for a lot of recognition and entertainment at the 2013 IFA Mass Rally on 23 February 2013. Before the big one however, you can look forward to the Provincial Rallies scheduled to start on 19 January 2013 at venues, dates and times detailed below.
By Elliot Ngubeni and Mpume Nyandu
FAs biggest event of the year is upon us once again, and the tickets are selling very fast. More than two thousand 2013 IFA Mass Rally tickets have been sold to date. The number of tickets sold thus far surpasses expectation - this is an indication that IFAs are eagerly anticipating what promises to be a day of EXTRAVAGANZA. If you do not already have ithikithi esandleni (ticket in hand), you might just miss out on the most exciting IFA event. This year IFA will be giving away four luxury cars to four hardworking and lucky IFAs. Over and above the cars, hundreds and thousands of rands will also be won. Nimrod Mr Lotto

nspiration, direction and a clear plan is what IFA Presenters often walk away with from the annual Presenters Conference. The 2013 IFA Presenters Conference will be no different. Taking place on Friday, 22 February 2013 at Birchwood Hotel & Conference Centre Johannesburg, the conference is sure to set the path for the year ahead. Keeran Krishna, IFA Head of Sales and driving force behind this conference says, Every year IFA delivers new and innovative methods to grow the IFA business and 2013 is going to be even better. This said, the 2013 Presenters Conference looks to re-establish the power of the presenters and is certain to display what can be the best year for IFA since inception. IFA Presenters will converge on Thursday afternoon, 21 February 2013. Later that evening the 2012 best performing presenters will be recognised. The big day (22 February 2013) is where it
Presenters can expect a wealth of pertinent information, exciting rst time news, training aimed at improving their personal standing through topics like Financial Planning, the opportunity to network with their peers and a dynamic and inspirational motivational speaker, further explained Keeran. With all this on the cards, it is clear that the 2013 IFA Presenters Conference cannot be missed. Note that all IFA Presentation Venues will be closed from Thursday, 21 February to Saturday, 23 February 2013. Normal presentations will resume on Sunday, 24 February 2013. By Louwella Moeti

announcement of the top 5 qualiers Gijima performers nationally who will walk away with cash totalling to R450 000, continues Mbali. Fueling the Gijima spirit was the Thatha Ma Thousand Game Show held at each rally. Every IFA that invited three or more prospects to their regional Gijima Rally were entered in a draw to be part of the Thatha Ma Thousands Game Show offering four contestants a maximum of a R1 000 each. The game show aimed at helping IFAs know and understand the IFA business and rules better. It tested both the nerves and knowledge of participants. For every question that contestants got right they banked more money but if they got it wrong they would lose it all. Some IFAs opted for the safer option of nishing early while others pushed on and claimed the entire R1 000 up for grabs. Make sure that your last dash is the fastest before it is too late. All application forms captured until 20 December 2012 with a debit date of 1 January 2012 will still count towards the Gijima Competition. Mbali parts with this thought: Whos going to walk away with the big cars? Be there at the 2013 IFA Mass Rally to nd out. Gijima IFA! By Christopher Bompas

photographer extraordinaire Oppa Litsoane, and the shop till you drop category going to Alina Ngubeni and Primrose Njongo, and nally the tness category going to Theresa Lillis. A trip to Rio would not be complete without visits to the Corcovado Mountain upon which the overpowering statue of Christ the Redeemer overlooks the city of Rio, as well as a trip on the Bondinho up Pao de Acugar, which also overlooks Rio but from a very different angle. The views from these two attractions can best be described as phenomenal. The full view of Copacabana Beach, with our hotel perfectly situated in the middle, was evident from the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. Many purchased lembranca (curios). Both were half day excursions with the balance of the days being free time some more Skol! All good things must come to an end. The two-split groups left a day apart and the long journey home began. Funny, the trip home is always a little quieter than the trip at the start of an adventure. A tired bunch of IFAs arrived back at OR Tambo airport, all rejuvenated and motivated to get back to business pending more awards at the upcoming 2013 IFA National Mass Rally in February. By Gary Simpson
At IFA we are constantly pushing boundaries, to nd innovative ways to take the business to scores of people who want to improve or change their lives for the better, but do not know how. Generations is the perfect platform to take the IFA business to millions in the comfort of their homes, thereby assisting IFAs in their quest to invite potential downlines, explained Mthunzi Mbali, IFA Marketing Director, when asked about the move to take IFA into Generations. Clientle made its debut on Generations from 19 October 2012, SMS communication was sent to the network because it is tting that the rst people to be informed about this are the IFA network and Clientle staff, who at some level are stakeholders that manage the companys products and are also the companys internal brand ambassadors. It is hoped that this venture will strengthen our production and also make the load lighter on IFAs as they Invite, Meet and Follow-up on their prospects. For Clientle Life and IFA, the Generations project is the single biggest marketing campaign and brand awareness venture the company has ever embarked on. The soap is the most popular programme on South African prime time TV and only a few brands have managed to feature on this soap. It is estimated that Generations has about 5 to 7 million viewers tuning in every day for some classic drama. With such a wide reach and looking at the companys target market, Generations is the most appropriate platform to place the companys brand and products, concludes Mthunzi. By Mpume Nyandu

games saw a few IFAs apply their skills turned into a phenomenal morning. A closing to the futebol that attracted many passing Brazilians was when we collectively erupted into song, OleOleOle The rest of the day was free time with some relaxing on the beach, some shopping at the Rio Sul or Feira Hippie, and a few trying the local Skol beer. The evenings were also a balanced mix of organised restaurants and free time. Over the week we experienced O Sabor Do Rio (Flavours of Rio) as we dined at three amazing restaurants in Marius, the Rio Scenarium (which later turned into a very popular night club), and Porcao, where we ate until we could no more. Other evening activities included strolling along the O Calcadao, where Brazilians exercicio (exercise) by running or on bicicleta (bicycle) well into the night. At the Rio Scenarium restaurant certain awards were presented which included all the soccer stars, a special award to Sipho Mpofu who found Theresa Lillis lost passport,
for the 2012 Incentive Conference to the pulsating city of Rio de Janeiro. Departure saw the travellers being split into two groups that travelled a day apart from each other. The International departures terminal at OR Tambo airport was abuzz with excitement as IFAs did their last bit of shopping, exchanged currency and had a departing meal and drinks. Traveling SAA to Sao Paulo was a pleasure as the airline offered exceptional service. Upon arrival at Rio, relatively late at night, IFAs were greeted by the event Guia (Tour Guide), and boarded two luxury Onibus (buses) which were at our beck and call for the duration of the trip. We arrived at the Rio Othon Palace Hotel, situated in the middle of the famous Copacabana Beach, and most, somewhat weary, went to bed.

inally, the moment of truth came. It was a case of network-marketing meets drama as the long anticipated IFA debut on Generations became a reality rather than just a rumour. On 13 November 2012, most IFAs, their families and friends across the country ensured that at 20h00 they were gathered around their TV sets, with eyes glued to the screens, eagerly awaiting to be part of millions of people who witnessed IFA making its entrance into the Generations storyline. And yes, they were not disappointed when the moment nally came as IFA was brilliantly weaved into the script. The IFA Walk-in-Centre at The Wedge Shopping Centre in Sandton screened the soap, and as soon as IFA was mentioned, the crowd went wild with excitement, clapping hands and smiling from ear to ear.
must be drawn up in plain language, such that an ordinary consumer with average literacy skills could understand. Further, the Act states that lease agreements may only exist for 24 months. Automatic renewals are a thing of the past, Ngodwane warns. This means that landlords will not be able to charge a cancellation fee at the end of the lease and must now take responsibility to renew the lease appropriately between 40 and 80 days before expiry, warns Ngodwane further. Apart from issues with rentals, home owners or people who pay rent may also encounter other legal problems: disputes with the neighbours, contractual disputes, poor service from security companies, problems with builders, disputes with the town council over billings or even legal issues resulting from pet ownership. That is why, if you rent a home you should have a lawyer! Ngodwane explains. We are here to assist you 24 hours a day.

LEGAL CORNER
Dr. George Dennill from Bloemfontein, knows this all too well. I had a bad experience with a rental agency and a dispute ensued. It became a legal nightmare, lled with red tape and frustration. Just trying to understand the complications arising from the lease agreement was near-impossible, says Dr. Dennill. I turned to my lawyers at Clientle Legal for help. They guided me through the legal clutter and the matter was resolved. I would never have been able to afford the legal fees otherwise. Recent changes to the Consumer Protection Act might have some controversial implications for lease agreements, says Ngodwane from Clientle Legal. The Act stipulates that the lease agreement

Heritage Day
me when I say I am an African. This can be said about the IFAs who gathered proudly in their traditional apparel to celebrate belated Heritage Day on 12 October 2012 at the IFA Network Service Centre. Heritage Day, celebrated annually in South Africa as a public holiday on 24 September, is a day of reection on, who we are and where we come from. Some celebrate it with a braai with family and friends, while others dress up in their traditional apparel. At IFAs Heritage Day celebration, many different cultures, traditions and languages were represented, one couldnt help but appreciate the fact that our diversity is a positive asset to our country. And that is the same philosophy that makes the IFA network so unique. The commemoration was kick-started by Romeo Jagjiban who did an IFA Business Opportunity presentation. Jerry Dikgale encouraged IFAs to build a better life for themselves in his motivational talk. And of course, you cannot celebrate South Africas heritage without song, dance and food. Musician Thembi Twala and the Batswana Dancers added excitement to the already electrifying vibe. The dynamic Lillian Dube sealed the whole event with her inspiring words. What a way to celebrate our rich and diverse culture! By Louwella Moeti

Just by looking at the number of submitted applications you could easily guess that Business B is better. Supposing that 87.5% of the applications of Business A make it on the books, in contrast Business B only submits 37.5% of successful applications.
Teamwork. What IFAs see on their earnings statements is directly in proportion to the time and energy they spent in working with others. It therefore important to monitor, strategise and guide new and existing members within your team and to treat them with respect and humility.

Why is Business A succeeding even though at rst it looks smaller, while Business B has many more applications but is failing? The answer is QUALITY. This term refers to the particular attributes of something, someone or the processes involved. Bad business is bad for everyone you, your team and for IFA. On the other hand, good business benets everyone, grows your club status and takes you closer to a better life. It is based on:
