BACKGROUND Takween Integrated Community Development (Takween ICD) is an urban development firm established in 2009 in Egypt by a young dynamic team in response to a foreseen growing demand for innovative urban solutions. Takween-ICD specializes in the development of integrated packages in urban development services and solutions to support and complement efforts of tackling urban challenges. You will be hired by Takween ICD and be based in its premise (Maadi, Cairo).

JOB DESCRIPTION Takween ICD is seeking to hire a Graphic Designer to work simultaneously on its various ongoing projects, and on creating a visual identity for the company's profile. The Graphic Designer must be creative and able to communicate ideas visually. He/ She must have an eye for detail and color and be able to adapt an aesthetic sense to the target audience. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for producing all company's publications such as portfolio, books, reports, brochures, posters, logo design, and website visuals; Create illustrations for the company's different projects such as infographics, rough sketches, etc. Creates professional designs and layouts for promotional materials including direct mailings, handouts, advertisements, posters, signs, logos, and other visual layouts.

TASKS Develop with Takween ICD team the visual identity of the company Design and produce different Takween ICD publications and reports Design typical bilingual templates for publicity materials for circulation among the general public, government, NGOs, academic entities (posters, brochures, etc.) Develop Takween ICD website and Social Media platforms graphic content, including: Identity and a color scheme for visual materials

 SKILLS

Feature images and infograms Illustrative diagrams and sketches Illustrative animated movies Picture and Video editing Audiovisual material Develop and utilize Takween ICD Database for visual materials

Work on multitasks at the same time using a wide range of media, including photography and computer aided design. Knowledge of graphic animation and video editing. Knowledge of photography and photography editing. Assist in copywriting as necessary and perform typesetting for forms and publications. Knowledge of current trends in same field by conducting the necessary researche.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCES

Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Art, or a related field, or equivalent field experience. Able to work on Adobe Creative Suite: (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premier (or Sony Vegas), AutoCAD, Flash, Adobe acrobat professional.) Html editing. Fluent in Arabic & English (Desirable). Detail oriented, flexible, self-motivated and meeting deadlines. Architecture or Urban Planning background is a plus
