• From 20th Nov 07-Date to 05 Jan 09:

Ericsson is providing the Radio Frequency planning and initial optimization services to CMPAK (PAKTEL) in South (Sind &
Baluchistan) Region Phase 1 and Phase 2. I am currently working as RF engineer.
My basic responsibilities are:-

 Planning:

• Performs Technical Site Surveys for GF, RT and WM towers.

• Making Technical Site Survey Reports.

• Technical Site Surveys: After nominal cell plan designed, we do the technical site surveys for RF. In T.S.S we check the inter-
site distance, check the distance of the candidate from the nominal, check the obstacle, decide the antenna height, check
coordinates, identify the panoramic, decide the azimuths of all the three sectors, on the basis of traffic and ground reality, we
decided to approve or to reject the candidates from RF prospective.

 Optimization:

• Making cell files though GSM application.

• Making Drive Test Routes.

• Initial Tuning of Network by using TEMS investigation data collection software.

• Integration Drive Test: Conducts field measurement, check status of sites and swapping of sectors, initial tuning of sites using
TEMS investigation 8.1 and 8.1.2, & analyze drive test result using TEMS Route Analysis 8.1 and 8.1.2.

• Network Benchmarking: Conducts field measurement, monitor network performance using TEMS investigation 8.1 and
8.1.2, & analyze drive test result using TEMS Route Analysis 8.1 and 8.1.2.

• Provides Benchmarking information on coverage and network performance (of network operators) and recommend necessary
action to improve / maintain quality of service.

• Cluster Acceptance Drive Test: First we pre-drive test of the cluster and on the basis of pre-drive test, we made the
recommendation (like up tilting, down tilting, health check, sector swap, partial swap and orientation etc). After apply
recommendation, we do the post drive test of the cluster. In this way we get the end result of the cluster. Cluster acceptance
drive test perform by using TEMS investigation 8.1 and 8.1.2, & analyze drive test result using TEMS Route Analysis 8.1 and
8.1.2.
• Maintenance of the Cluster by using TEMS Investigation Software7.0, 8.0, 8.1, 8.1.2

• Good command on Drive Test.

• I have 15 Months Experience of Drive Testing.
